I haven't bought the grung yet (waiting on discount code), so I can't check if there is some aspect you are misreading, but literally 30% of monsters are immune to poison and the poisoned condition (mostly like fiends, celestials, undead, constructs, and legendary monsters, but "only dangerous monsters are immune to poison," is hardly a good comeback).
It bears mentioning that the playable grung race is essentially homebrew for charity, meaning it hasn't gone through the usual balancing that WotC does.

12 is an extremely easy CON save for most creatures.
