I'm doing some aside research into necromancers and undead characters and was wondering if a splash potion mechanic was introduced, would it make sense if healing potions damaged undead characters ? (specifically player characters and NPCs, not necessarily creatures like ghouls/ skeles/ zombies)
In 5e, healing magic does not damage undead. I think your healing potion splash damage idea would only make sense if you consistently applied the idea to all healing magic, which would make healing magicians unnecessarily effective against undead.
So, if you were consistent, I think it would make sense. But in no case do I think it’s something the game needs.
