I want to know how spells are recovered. It very specific because if its kinda like exhaustion, like you need to regain energy to cast. Also if its like that couldn't just use greater restoration?
Sorcerer: Font of Magic. Use the Sorcery Points to buy spell slots.
No, it isn't like exhaustion.
Greater restoration doesn't recover spell slots. If the feature recovers spell slots, it will say it does. For example, the Path of the Wild Soul (UA)* can recover other people's spell slots with its Magic Reserves feature.
If Greater restoration can recover spell slots, the players would have an infinite amount of spell slots by having two characters know that spell. This will complete break the game.
*p.s. UA is the official playtest, so it isn't an official subclass yet and your DM may not allow it.
There are some magic items that can recover Spell Slots too.
But in general terms, it's as Frozen_Fruit explained to you. A long rest recovers all your Spell Slots. And then some classes or subclasses have an additional way to do it.
Im still reading the phb (players hand book) and idk
This is the first time I've seen someone respond to a post buried 2 years prior, only to say "idk" in a manner that seems less useful than a regular "idk" >_>
While I actually found your comment on the funny side, I want to remind you that the forum guidelines expect replies to contribute to the discussion. I'm just letting you know in case you weren't aware :)
I hadn't realized that. I thought it was the OP saying idk.
That is why I remarked that it is as Frozen_Fruit had told him (with the addition of magical objects). I had not seen that it was necromancy. And a very rare one indeed.
If yes, would it possible to offer somebody else's blood instead?
It is not in the official rules. The link you gave is to a DM who is (or was as it was posted 5 years ago) thinking about doing so, and in D&D the DM can change any rule as they see fit if if you are a player don't expect it. I don't like the idea, spellcasters are already more powerful than martials so I wouldn't like to see them boosted further.
You may be interested in the bloodhunter class, while they do not have spells they do have features where they can harm themselves inorder to perform magical acts. (If has to be their own health they damage)

Depended on your class. Long rest always recover the spell slots for all class. Some classes can also recover spell slots without taking a long rest.
The classes can recover spell slots by other means:

Is it possible to recover a spell slot by paying for it in blood? see https://www.worldanvil.com/w/gothenya-clayliford/a/spell-slot-recovery-blood-article.

That's homebrew. You'd have to ask your DM if they would allow it. Then, if they do allow it, ask your DM how it would work.
