I haven't gotten past chapter 1, but the image that's paired with the Zhentarim Ruffian feat is of two of the 7 Sisters (Dove and The Simbul)? I'm taken aback; I can only just shake my head and wonder what might be in chapter 2.
FWIW I don't think that image is intended to be paired with that feat, it just happens to be next it because it's the last feat in that section and it's artwork that appears to be a "bookend" to the section.
I'm not buying it. First off, when did I miss the Zents changing from Manshoon's private army into a "family organization"? Which then leads me to believe they inserted the picture of two of the Seven Sisters to back up that family vibe. The whole thing just doesn't sit right given the history of everyone involved in this situation. I'm not sure Ed Greenwood would approve.
Reading through some of it feels like they copy and pasted texts from SCAG. One key piece is Damara which states that Yarin Frostmantle is still the ruler in the current time of 1501 DR. This was stated also in SCAG which is like in 1489 DR, however he was killed in 1487 DR by Artemis Entreri in the Forgotten Realms novel "Hero". While RA Salvatore definitely published his novel a year after SCAG was published there seems to be a whole inconsistency despite the Heroes of Faerun pushing Salvatore's novels as deeper delve into the Forgotten Realms' history.
Isn't part of the plot of Waterdeep: DH is how there's the old Manshoon faction and the current leaders of the Zhent?. Also, a lot of the lore is the same as SCAG, the 2014 DMG and W:DH. Nothing has changed. The Zhents are your fantasy mafia/Yakuza, and that hasn't changed

I advise you flush out all older/external authors out of your minds:It'll make reading this much easier.
Then you'll notice stuff like Hoar being missing from the gods, and other errors like that.
The book is SCAG 2.0. It always was intended to be such. They just covered more than the Sword Coast this time.
