Pick a class—just one. How would you represent each of the seven deadly sins through a character of that class?
Given the universal nature of the seven sins (they repeat over many cultures and faiths), they should manifest almost universally wherever humanoids are found.
Envy is a Mutant, a Blood Hunter, and an undead who lives in jealousy of the living and all those who are welcome in the light. Gluttony is a living embodiment of all consuming flame. Greed is a one who has shown to be willing to do anything if it gets them what they want, whether that be by intrigue, infiltration, or force. Lust is one who gives their all to the feeling of love and passion, a feeling they extend to all they meet. Pride looks at the world as filled with things to be fixed and people to defend, and at themselves as the shield to stand against all evil, the hand that will restore the world. Sloth was born with the power to change other viewpoints, the ability to talk without talking and get things done through other while not lifting a finger. Wrath has experienced some of the greatest depravities the world had to offer, and the result was one who not only held a deep hatred for nearly everything, but the ability to enact that rage on anything wrath saw as deserving.
Lust: An intense desire or longing. Usually this is in the form of sexual desire, and lets be honest, its the one we are all thinking of. In this area unbridled, maybe even unnatural, or even unhealthy degrees of it. However it could also a lust for power and or money. These unbridled desires make it easy for one to make one a slave to their desire, to be easily manipulated by them. I would think rouge or a cleric that focuses on gods that also focus on these areas.
Gluttony: Gluttony is usually referring to food. You want to consume, consume, and consume, and makes it very similar to greed. Its consider bad as the level of consumption is usually deemed to a level of wastefulness, thus leaving less for others in need. However over consumption and wastefulness might include other areas, such as business or how we treat the environment. A fighter, maybe. Or maybe a wizard as they consume more and more knowledge. And now I just realized I made a different 7 deadly sins reference not on purpose.
Greed: The need to gather more and more things, more resources and horde it for oneself. Be it food, property, money, or other forms of wealth. ROuges are probably the one to think of, espesialy off the teif or arcane trickster build.
Sloth: The desire to do nothing or in when that is not an option, as little as possible physically, mentally, morally, emotionally, and so on. I would see a warlock for this as instead of dedicating themselves to nature or faith as the wisdom based casters, study and trial and error as intelligence, creativity and creed of other charisma casters, they use a short cut without realizing the full scale of what they have done.
Envy: Its wanting what others have. It has the same feel as Greed and Lust, but this time desiring the skills, the fame, the prowess, positions, loved ones, and so on. Theif build Rouge again.
Wrath: Anger, hatred, rage, a desire for vengeance. Lets be honest, its berserker barbarian. Too angry to die. That or Conquest Paladin, or paladin that is an oathbreaker.
Pride: Ego, Self Centered thinking you are better and are of higher standing than others, allowing you to look down and belittle others. THis is often considered the source of other sins for because you are this high and mighty any sght agaisnt them is a major one, and they desire everything to acknowledge their greatness. I can see any can be this, but maybe some forms of Paladin, or a Wizard, or fighter.
