My concern with the area of bright light and the dim light would just be if either would cancel the other out.
Although it could be interesting to be glowing like a little moon inside an area of dim light!
I'm very undecided on how to do the level breakdown. Obviously 2 in each class, but am having trouble deciding which to go up more in. Both subclasses are very good I think.
And I am still going with Quindraco's wonderful idea of a Crystal Dragonborn believing they need to become a Moonstaone Dragonborn. I just love the roleplay of that so much. They were raised in in their clan, of probably Druid Dragonborns, where the whole clan believes they are destined for this 'higher calling' of being a Moonstone Dragonborn/ Dragon. And that's their personal life goal to see thru and get to that if they can. Both Crystal and Moonstone play with Radiant damage, as does Stars Druid, and then Cleric has the next most radiant damage. So I'm thinking base of Stars Druid, then going into Twilight Cleric, for following some Moonstone Dragon/ god. I think that all works really well together.
Without going for creating a background, I'm strongly considering Outlander. However, given Moonstone's love of entertainment I am also considering Entertainer, or possible multi into Bard as well....
Maybe you shouldn’t multiclass if you want to go with Quidraco’s story hook. I would think the ultimate way to realize your ambition of becoming a Moonstone Dragon is using Shapechange. Druids get that as a 9th level spell. If you took more than two levels in Twilight Cleric you could never get it, and any multiclass would delay it.
It’s enough to be a Phase of the Moon (Circle of Stars) Druid and ride its flexibility to greatness. Don’t forget to cast Moonbeam far too often along the way!
You could take a half elf (drow ancestory), worship Eilistraee. That gives you pretty awesome flexibility taking existing class/subclass/multiclass combinations in warlock\bard\paladin that you could then flavour. Of course you don't need to be drow to worship eilistraee, perhaps a human bladesinger wizard might work great.
There are also a few great homebrew options for cleric and sorcerer. Like this one (Chosen of Eilistraee) which is pretty cool, it uses similar rules to monk\barbarian\bladesinger with its Unarmoured defence, and is almost like a barbarian rage ability with its moonsong - apart from you being quite a bit more mobile and quishy than any barbarian :)
Note: That subclass is part of a series of awesome homebrew content by nielspeterdejong - discord: https://discord.gg/mBmKcp6E3s

Not to mention the new lunar magic sorcerer UA that shifts between lunar phases and has different abilities based on which phase is currently active.
Sisyphus: That really is a good point. May need to consider that!
Blightor: Eilistraee is wonderful, and that is a nice subclass. Thank you for sharing it.
Temery: Oh yes, I saw that an it looks really good. I hope it doesn't get nerfed too much before publication! If has great flexibility and flavoring!
