Bonus points if you can slip a Monty Python reference into that about Copper Dragons being excellent witch hunters due to their duck-weighing skills.

Characters:
Grishkar Darkmoor, Necromancer of Nerull the Despiser Kelvin Rabbitfoot, Diviner, con artist, always hunting for a good sale Bründir Halfshield, Valor Bard, three-time Sheercleft Drinking Competition Champion, Hometown hero
DM also runs a Star Wars campaign & had an NPC (in a bar) drinking a Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster. I was all, "Are we in the HHGttG universe?". He awarded me 42 xp.
We just got done running Tomb of Annihiliation. I believe it was the final fight against Acererak where our Sorcerer got turned into a potted plant via Wild Surge. I immediately meta-gamed them as saying, "Oh no. Not again."

There's a reason I played the Mystic/Fighter (Nomad/Eldritch Knight) with an archer build: Teleports and touching things from far away. Problem is we were doing good on the GodFetus in ToA, then I got Power Word: Killed on Round 1 of Acererak showing up...prior to that, it was all "You see a chest", "I shoot it first", "Nothing happens", "Open with Mage Hand, Ready Teleport 40' out of the room".

DM, playing an AdultCopper Dragon: Give me a rhyme, a limerick, a joke or riddle and you shall be rewarded.
Party: Uhmmm.....
Me: Why are dragons excellent at weighing ducks?
DM: (puzzled look) Uh...weighing ducks? IDK why a dragon would want to weigh a duck. Why pray tell?
Me: Dragons have excellent scales.
DM: (laughs out loud) Bonus xp for everyone!!!
Usually the other players moan, groan and roll their eyes at my puns and word play. Today they cheered. It was a good day!
I also got an Inspiration point....since the rest of the party went all "deer in the headlights".

Instead their bard casts vicious mockery , "Your mothers a hamster and your father smells of elder berries! I fart in your general direction!"

Excellent, we had a Sorcerer Wild Surge and do this. Totally missed the chance to use that line. I'm so ashamed.
Last time I ran Tomb of Horrors, I used the wish gem from (25c?) to bring one of our players's back to life after being soul sucked.
DM says, "Sure. She comes back to life but she's been corrupted by Acererak. She's on Team A now."
Then the gem blew up and killed myself and 2 other party members.
Fun times.
Getting killed in the Tomb of Horrors isn't something to be ashamed of, it's a badge of honor.
"I touch the black orb in the figure's mouth". - player that then has to use a backup character.
"Ain't touching nothing from here on out." - me.
