I’m building a Wizard/Barbarian multiclass, (a Wizbarian, shall we say) but I’m not sure which school of magic to dedicate him to. I’m thinking either divination or necromancy. (This character is supposed to be play like a witch doctor sort of dude.) Any suggestions?
From a flavor perspective, I'd say conjuration has a pretty good concept. (Although, I'm kinda thinking witch doctor from Diablo 3.)
Divination or necromancy would be good. I like divination for a 'His eyes turn white and he grins. "Death awaits in your vary near future."' And draw your blade. I think that'd be wildly fun.
Side note: Perfect profile pic for this post lol.

You only lose if you die. Any time else, there's opportunity for a come back.
Yeah, I'm thinking War Magic makes the most thematic sense, but mechanically, you really don't want a tradition that relies on casting or concentrating on spells in combat. War Magic actually works really well if you only take 2-5 levels of wizard.

What I thought though was that his barbarian traits could deal damage in combat and his magic would be more practical and perhaps focused on buffs and such. Just a thought.

I think Evocation or War Magic makes most sense. But as long as you have the backstory for it, you could go with anything.

Just remember that barbarians can't concentrate while raging. Beyond that, it seems cool!
I know what you're thinking: "In that flurry of blows, did he use all his ki points, or save one?" Well, are ya feeling lucky, punk?
