Our yawning portal crew has essentially began to become a min/max campaign so I’ve just upped the difficulty and tossed in additional threats to challenge them. I was curious what are some of the best sub level 10 min/max builds you have seen. Most are for lvl 20 which is kinda silly since most of the time playing is under 10 for a majority of dnd based campaigns.
Got to be sorlock. They can be OP at level six and they get more and more powerful as they get access to higher level spell slots.
On questions like these I always need to advertise my level four variant human warlock with the spell sniper feat, metamagic adept for distant spell and eldrich spear invocation for a 1200 foot range eldrich blast.

I have several complete Pokedexes | I may be stupid, but at least I’m not smart!
Stay Paranoid!! My Drummer given title is… Swift as the Dragon
Sorlock - Sorcerer X + Warlock-2 = eldritch machine gun
Shepherd Druid + summoning velociraptors
Bearbarian - Moondruid 2 + Barbarian 3 = unkillable tank
Lifeberries - Life Cleric + Druid 1 = all the out-of-combat healing you could want
Sharpshooter - Battlemaster-5 + Gloomstalker Ranger-3 + Bugbear = huge damage by combining Precise Attack + Sharpshooter, plus massive nova on turn 1 with 6 attacks each getting +2d6 from Bugbear
Fog Horn - Swashbuckler Rogue + Booming Blade (can be from a dip, feat or racial) = an absolute ton of damage, at 5th level it's 1d8+DEX+2d6(snek)+1d8(boom)+2d8(boom-2)
Sorcadin - Paladin-X + Divine Sorcerer-1 + any race with magic resistance (add 2-Hexblade warlock once you've got the Aura of Protection) = unstoppable / untouchable smiter, AC=18(plate)+2(shield)+5(Shield), most saves = Adv +4 (Aura)
Twilight Cleric -X = endless temporary hit points for everyone
Eloquence Bard-X = don't even bother rolling for CHA checks they just auto-succeed
Sorlock - Sorcerer X + Warlock-2 = eldritch machine gun
Shepherd Druid + summoning velociraptors
Bearbarian - Moondruid 2 + Barbarian 3 = unkillable tank

Assuming spelljammer backgrounds are allowed, but does work pretty good without them as well. I built this using point buy but works with rolled stats as well. I call it the multi-tasking Battle Smith: Choose custm lineage to start out with Int 15+2, Dex 14, Con 13 (the rest doesn't matter). You can also bump Con to 15 if you really want to min-max.
Choose Telekinetic for your CL feat to bump Int to 18. For Background, pick Astral Drifter to get Guidance and whatever else you want. Bless is a good choice since you probably won't have a good wisdom score, Shield of Faith also works. Thaumaturgy is also great. For Artificer Cantrips, pick Mending and whatever else you want. Firebolt is always a good option.
At level 3 you pick Battle Smith so you can start bashing things with your brains, but use a warhammer instead. At level 4 you take the Crusher Feat to even out your Con score. At level 8 you max out Intelligence. That's it. :) Have fun being good at pretty much everything through Guidance and bless. You are pretty durable with a decent Con score, lots of ways to boost your AC, utility out your rear and many ways to move enemies and manipulate the battlefield. And a pet robot, of course.

Perfect! Thank you.
Yeah this summarises it perfectly!
