My dm has given me a really cool sword with an insane effect,
“When wielded in battle, this enchanted sword summons a fragile mirror image of its wielder. This Reflection stands beside you for a single round, an ephemeral ally mimicking your form, spell slots, unused ability charges, and current movement speed. Equipped with a spectral replica of your gear-save for the Sword of Reflection itself, which appears as a normal longsword in its hands-it has the following attributes: Health: 6, Actions: 1 Action, 1 Bonus Action, and 1 Reaction, Movement Speed: Copies your current movement speed.
Though your Reflection can cast spells and wield weapons, it cannot speak beyond the incantations required for spellcasting. Activating this ability requires a Bonus Action and can only be used once per long rest. At the end of your next turn, the Reflection shatters into fragments of light and glass-like shards, dissipating along with any replicated abilities, equipment, and movement.”
I am currently playing a bladesinger at level 13 with guaranteed knowledge that we will be going to level 20.
I already know/figured about using the copy to put two bags of holding inside each other, using the copy to circumvent the consequence of wish, using the copy for free simulacrums, and getting multiple uses out of very expensive items for spells and other things.
No, I want to hear about some cool combos that can be pulled off. One person came up with the practical of using feeblemind + silvery barbs + planeshift and another came up with the cool idea of both me and the copy casting steel wind strike.
What ideas do you have to break this further than the obvious?
Use move earth to create a 20ft. deep cylinder pit and have the mirror cast incendiary cloud at the bottom. Double props if you can get a wizard to cast delayed fireball too
Reverse gravity + Prismatic Wall is practically a blender. Cast the wall above a non flying creature, let your copy cast reverse gravity - which has no save if there is nothing to hold on to - , watch as they go through all the layers of prismatic wall. Then, should they somehow survive that, end the reverse Gravity spell (or wait till the mirror vanishes and drops concentration) and let them drop through all the layers again.
That would of course be a really high level use (with a lvl 9 and a lvl 7 spell) and I imagine your DM might be fed up with that item before that point, so don't overdo it ;)
I mean the obvious one is Forcecage, it takes only 1 action to cast but lasts for 1 hour without concentration (if using 2014 rules). Alternatively, you could simply create the reflection then True Polymorph it into whatever you like and it then would become a permanent member of the party as it's stats are completely replaced by what you turn it into. So build yourself an army of Planetars. The other one would be having it cast Prismatic Wall for you since that also lasts 10 minutes without concentration. But I mean... all the 9th level spell options are generally irrelevant because infinite simulacrums will instantly break the game so... enjoy your last 4 levels before the game balance goes out the window.

Doesn’t that spell only take affect over the course of 10 minutes?
