I would disagree. IMO the aberrant mind sorc is the most obscure and complex RP to master but can be the most fun if played well. The ability to create ANY images/ sounds / voices / distractions mixed with high charisma and long range telepathy makes this a blast when mixed with a changling. The world is literally your oyster. Combat is mostly cc with high RP value in tailoring your illusions and spells to your persona.
Personally, I like playing weirdos wizards with dirt low wisdom but high intelligence because I think it's funny. But I also really like paladins, especially if the rest of the party are clowns. Edgy warlock is fun but the combat is a snoozefest, since you're locked in eldritch blast most of the time :( I prefer warlocks in rp- heavy games, but not in dungeon crawls or warzones.
My sibling is having a lot of fun with a himbo barbarian. What's funny is that they're really smart, so you have the himbo acting as the defacto leader lmao. My best friend likes taking wisdom classes and roleplaying them as early 2000s memes in their effort to fit in with their low low charisma, which is very funny to witness as the dm. Each person has their own fun ultimately, and if you want to find yours try taking something you haven't tried before and mix it with something you love.
I think it’s kinda fun to play a cleric because everyone is always screaming at u 4 heals and u can annoy them so much by only doing level one healing word. Paladins are also cool because they have healing and weapons, but they dont have cantrips so most of the time it’s just a normal attack. That’s another nice thing about clerics is hat they have weapons and cantrips and 1-9 level spells. They can also have great AC if u do chain Mail and a shield and have good health for a full spellcaster.
hey, one of my friends is gonna dm a campaign and I wanna play a fun class. I normally play bards but I want to try something different this time around. I’m looking for a fun class that has some options so probably not a fighter I was thinking about cleric or paladin. I’m not looking for combat ability I’m just looking for fun role play and ability’s to play with so give me your opinions on the most fun classes are.
Roleplay: Try a warlock, which alone has a lot of roleplay but if you pick one where the patron is a very different alignment, that is serious roleplay (and froiction). So, you could go archfey: (Hyrsam the Prince of fools and Titania are CN) and Genie (Marid, CN) choose LG or LE (maybe even LN). Some thing CE or LE (Fiend, great old one (not one that isn't paying attention), undead, undying, Genie (Dao or Efreeti), LE go CG and CE go LG. If you go Genie - Djinni or Archfey - Oberon (both CG), try LN or LE. Celestials, Unicorn and Ki-rin and Solar are LG so you could go CN or CE and Empryans can be CG (go Ln or LE) or NE (CG or LG would work).
Spores druid could be good roleplay. Or Scribes Wizard. You can do a lot of RP with Paladin depending on which oath you choose. Trickery Cleric could be fun too.
You gotta love the artificer. It’s so fun and distinct from the other classes, and you get to support the party without being on call 24/7 as a healer.
Swashbuckler rogue is always my go to as a class. Honestly you should play a class you haven't played before just to get a feel for it.

Ranger swarmkeepers are super fun also, you can customize your swarm for the campaign and rangers can just be fun anyway.

It just feels unique! It is especially fun if you multiclass with bladesinger or battle master!
Drow Shadowblades are so good! Give them a Google!
