So, with it being almost halfway through the year and nearly all of the classes have been released, are we gonna get to see anymore subclasses before the 2024 release of the new PH? We still don’t have any revisions yet either but I expect to see some in the next UA with the monk. Just saying we’re running out of time and I kind of would like to see what else we’re working with or if we’re going to be able to give feedback on what wizards is doing with the revisions and other stuff like beast master ranger and the Druid revision.
I don’t think they’ve made any announcements one way or the other. They’ll obviously still need to release the monk. They’ve talked about taking another pass at some classes. There’s still spells to release, which I think they plan to do. And possibly monsters. I wonder if we’ll get much of anything from the DMG.
I’m just thinking of other stuff that needs a first pass before they start getting in deeper and trying second passes.
I’d think, timeline-wise, they’ll want all the books out in time for Christmas next year. In the past, with new editions, the core books have been one per month, usually the PHB in august. They’ll need to go to the printer a few weeks or possibly months before that. And they’ll need time for layout. So, if that’s the timeline, at this point, I’d guess they have about another year before they need things more or less locked in place. So, probably they have time for that sort of thing. But, again, I don’t think they’ve said officially.

Right, I know they said they will be doing a few iterations if the Druid and warlock, but Christmas is good that means we have about a year and a half worth of test play stuff. I thought it was going to be the beginning of the year.
Some of the video interviews with Crawford have made it sound to me like we might see updates to some of the already released playtest classes; I think the idea has been to get initial feedback on each class alongside one sample sub-class first, then we'll probably see the classes return alongside any new sub-classes released for playtesting, though having only one sub-class has made it hard to give complete feedback (nothing to compare against).
I feel like the bulk of the updated classes are largely fine; it'd be nice to know how mastery fits the Paladin/Ranger but otherwise they both seem pretty solid IMO (there are things I want to see changed, but nothing major), Barbarian/Bard/Cleric/Fighter/Rogue I think are solid as foundations but need refinements, but I wouldn't expect major changes to these. Wizard is probably fine as-is (my own feedback for Wizard was minor at least). It's only really Druid and Warlock that seem like they're really polarising.
So with the exception of those last two the others are hopefully just a case of buffing a few features, fixing any issues etc., so any work already done towards their sub-classes should still be usable. This means an updated reprint of the "mostly fine" classes might not take that long, just depends how far along they are with the sub-classes they plan to release.

I'm anxiously waiting for them to make the monk even weaker... If that is the case, I'll just play the 5e version with a fighter dip.
I’m thinking they might include some of the masteries to unarmed attacks. A cleaving roundhouse would be kind of cool. Push was kind of already there with the crusher feat and the way of the open hand. Topple would be cool. But I don’t think it’s going to be weaker, most of the classes haven’t been. They’ll most likely go with way of the open hand as a subclass, though, which I’m curious to see what they do if they do include masteries in the base monk unless they will be part of the subclass. They’ll also most likely get a d10 hit die. What would you like to see changed?

That’s why this last playtest was so big, they’ve got a lot of ground to cover at not a lot of time. Especially when you figure things will really slow from about mid-November through the end of December. It’s really not as much time as it might seem. Unless they really start compressing the length of time they give people to playtest, and how long they keep the surveys open.
Crawford promised all 48 NuPHB subclasses will be in the playtest. I'll see if I can find the video where he explicitly stated this. I think they're nailing down the base classes with our initial round of feedback first though.
Without a doubt I hope that they improve in the martial arts dice, and a greater amount of Ki, together with small recoveries of this by various methods (Ex: throw the martial arts dice to recover Ki in a short descent or in each throw of initiative in which you have no Ki, improving the latter by X level to recover each time it has half or less of its maximum.)
What I suggest about ki is that it scale according to the monk's level and his proficiency bonus, the latter also benefits multiclasses by allowing a slight increase in maximum Ki without improving the monk because having such a high level also improves his energy capacity of spiritual combat (Ki), but a very small improvement, not comparable with having entered a higher level of the monk. (I would have liked a similar increase in sorcery points.)
and 1d4 at level 1 because he hasn't mastered Ki yet.
Also mastery in weapons AND IN UNARMED STRIKES OR IMPROVISED WEAPONS.
I thought I heard or read the next playtest will be The Monk, subtypes, and probably Open Hand and 1 other? and Expert Revisions. I imagine we will see the Expert subtypes. Beastmaster, Assassin, College of Valor as well as revisions to the previous class and sub types of Hunter, Thief, Lore.
This is my understanding as well. The UA's themselves also talk about playtesting a total of 4 subclasses per class. My guess is that they will release all or most of the additional subclasses in one big UA (they don't really much time), but probably not until after we 1) get the Monk, and 2) get a second pass on the classes from the early UA's. Now let's make some predictions! I'm thinking that the 48 subclasses will be a combination of PHB updates, Xanathar's/Tasha's subclasses, and completely new entries. I'm assuming that every PHB subclass will make the 2024 update, except for some of the Cleric domains and Wizard traditions.
Barbarian Primal Paths
Berserker
Totem Warrior/Wildheart
Dragon Warrior? A dragon themed barbarian seems like a given to me, and I'm surprised we haven't seen one.
Storm herald: This is a good concept that could use a revision, I think.
Bard Colleges
College of Lore
College of Valor
College of Dance (this has been mentioned as a subclass coming up in the playtest)
College of Song
Cleric Domains
Life
Light - Light is, it seems to me, is nearly as iconic as the Life domain.
Trickery - I'm not sure how popular this domain is, but I think it fills a much needed niche within the cleric concept.
War? Battle? This seems like a popular concept (the battle priest), and war gods are popular in D&D. I could see the domain tweaked significantly given the introduction of Holy Orders.
Druid Circles
Circle of the Moon
Circle of the Land
Circle of the Elements? I could also just see the Shepherd and Dreams Circles brought forward and updated.
Circle of Spirits?
Fighter Archetypes
Champion
Battle Master: I'd love to see this Archetype become the choice for the player that wants a complex Fighter. Have maneuvers that unlock at higher levels, and that become more detached from reality as you level (Fire a volley of arrows, slash through a dozen men, etc).
Eldritch Knight
Warlord/Marshall: something like the warlord has to be the most requested fighter subclass (even if I think many people would like to see the Warlord as an independent class completely).
Monk Traditions
Way of the Open Hand
Way of the Four Elements
Way of Shadow
Way of the Kensei: I think this is a cool concept, and fits well with the other three (which cover the classic martial artist/kung-fu character, the magical monk, and the ninja). The Kensei is the devout weapon master.
Paladin Oaths
Devotion
Ancients
Vengeance
Oathbreaker? I could see the Oathbreaker moved to the PHB, though if it remains in the DMG that also works.
Ranger Archetypes
Hunter
Beast Master
Monster Slayer: a good concept that could really sing with a new base class
Warden: This concept I could see as a Barbarian, Druid or Ranger. Essentially a primal defender of the wilderness
Rogue Archeytpes
Thief
Assassin
Arcane Trickster
Acrobat? The Thief-Acrobat is a fun concept, and strangely it's not been adapted for 5e. It has few potential issues - the Thief already has some of this flavor with Second-Story Work, and it may step on the Monk's toes a bit, too. But a hyper mobile rogue would be fun to play (and maybe one that can use the quarterstaff as a finesse weapon).
Sorcerous Origins
Draconic Sorcery
Wild Magic
Cosmic Sorcery
Divine Soul: A classic concept and one that would benefit from an update given the changes to spell lists.
Warlock Patrons
Fiend
Archfey
The Great Old One
Vestiges
Wizard Traditions
Evoker
Abjurer
Illusionist
Necromancer (confirmed in an interview)
I don't know if anybody else caught it, but in the more recent Youtube videos, Crawford also talked about moving the Dragon Wings feature of the Draconic Sorcerer to a higher level spot so that wings would return to being permanent - that could mean that every subclass we've seen could be getting an extra feature at level 17+ (and that's just one possible approach).

I agree with the rest of your predictions but for this one - I think the more likely explanation is that he was mistakenly thinking of an internal build where Draconic wings were reduced to 10th, but then moved back up to 14th prior to this packet getting published. The reason I think that is because the wings for Draconic come online at 14th in both the 2014 and 2024 versions of the subclass, o his claim that it got nerfed due to being available earlier only makes sense in light of such an error. I definitely don't see them going back to add a 17th level feature to every subclass we've seen so far, nor doing so only for the Sorcerer.
That's actually a good point - I was already trying to figure out just how they would be adding an additional feature to each subclass and it seemed... daunting.

I’m going to agree with most of what you have here. I really like the idea. My thoughts
Acrobat: it would not likely be a rouge but more likely a bard, I think it makes more sense as a performance themed class.
Warlord: I wish, that would be awesome but more likely they would probably make this part of battlemaster, which I could agree with since battlemaster, as great as it was, had alot of down time. They could fill the holes with more features instead of simply adding bigger dice. They could add bigger dice and more features and add in more maneuvers that can do things to boost the party. I do like your idea of making battlemaster crazier, though, that along with masteries would make things very interesting.
Druid: I’d like to see the circle of spores and wildfire come back. I think they even kind of hinted at it when they said using your wildshape to do different things like these. Still hoping they fix channel nature. Circle of Spirits and Shepard are kind of the same thing. I’d also like to see a Druid that focuses on animating the land around them, but that could be a big change to Circle of the Land. Ranger: Monster Hunter could be kind of like tying in Blood Hunter and making it official without actually doing it, just a thought, Witchers are cool. Warden sounds fun, not really sure where to go with it at the moment. Beast Master would be exciting. I’m hoping they use Drakewarden as an example of how this should work but the new one in Tasha’s wasn’t horrible either. It would be cool if you could summon more than one beast at higher levels or your beast grows with you like the Drakewarden but doesn’t stop at large. How cool it it be to have a huge beast at level 20 or even bigger. I’ve actually thought about this one a lot. Maybe at higher levels you could either summon one huge creature, or two larges, or four mediums, or six smalls? I think that would make things very interesting
Barbarian: Path of the Dragon? I’d think they’d more likely go off that last test play with Path of the Giant. This way, the sorcerer can be the only dragon themed class. I would also like Path of the Beast from Tasha’s, kind of fits with the new rage features.
Paladin: All I can say is I hope that if they do take away ranger smites than they give us a subclass that gives them back, I think they hinted this. Also, Oath if Redemption needs to come back, it was fun.
Wizard: Necromancer! Please please let them make this better and feel more like a necromancer. I think all the wizard subclasses are going to be very different than what we knew before. Maybe they’ll even allow you to become a lich at higher levels.
These are my hopes.
