IDK, I'm annoyed that weapons only get 1 mastery option and that's the only way they work. Just annoys me to the bone that scimitar is only good as a off-hand weapon and other shit like that. Really feels like they're trying to take weapons out of the limited boxes they've been in and have just switched them to different limited boxes.
I see a future where youtubers make videos about how the only ranger duel-wielding build is short-sword in main and scimitar in off-hand and if you don't use that combo your sub-optimal. And that's not a better future then now where they'll insist you can only be a longbow wielding ranger because all other options are just not that good.

Don't disagree. Would rather they remove all weapon Masteries from other classes and leave it as it is in the new UA.
Would rather they just scrap weapon masteries completely to be honest.
Was very frustrating in the video when they said they considered putting battlemaster manoevuers into the main class but decided not to so as not to remove a subclass people like.
The trouble is the battlemaster is the baseline of what a fighter should be and weapon masteries is just a terrible way to say you can do 1 thing with every attack with that weapon for ever.
And you can so it for more weapons than you will ever use as well. Such a waste

what stuck me during the video was when he said many players didn't want that [maneuver die and complication]. most likely it was backwards compatibility concerns, but that's not what they said. seems they decided a spreadsheet of weapons masteries was not more complex than the list of maneuvers.

unhappy at the way in which we lost individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?
tell them you don't like features disappeared quietly in the night: providefeedback!
Honestly 6 (5? i'm too lazy to look it up) is ... too many masteries. No one is going to carry around 6 different weapons so they can juggle them around in combat, it's dumb. Sort of the same problem as UA6's Ranger's favored terrain problems, you've already given us the ability to switch out the feature on a long rest, why do they think we need more then 2 of them per-day. Who is exploring 5 diffrenet terrains per day? maybe the same person who wants 5 different weapon masteries on five different weapons per day.

No one is saying that you must carry all of them. Its a silly idea. You grab the weapon you want.

Yeah but you have like six options and can change those options every long rest. If you are just using your great axe all the time what’s the point of the other 5 options.

Thats like asking whats the point of all the feats you don't happen to know. You choose which ability you want. Pick on and its what you have. Same idea

Thank you.
The thing is its not even a complicated fix.
Just make it like the Rogue special sneak attack thing.
Once per turn you can do one thing from a list of x you have selected, gaining more options as you level.
Then give them simplified versions of what the current manoeveur options are.
Problem solved. You have a tactical fighter with options to choose every round without having to add a resource mechanic
