I adored UA Armour of Tools it simplified the Alchemist's life so very much. Being able to use the tools with only requiring a "open hand" meant that my alchemist could use a shield, and a weapon--then free action put weapon away, cast, then free ation draw later. and at higher levels meant I could use an enhanced arcane focus in one hand, ,keep the other hand open, but gain both bonuses when I cast. but that hand wa still open to draw items, shield, weapon, etc.

plus it also let you add int bonus to skill checks with the tool, so an house kundarak artificer of 6th level with that infusion as incorperating thives tools with guidance and the abillity to cast knock would have quite the significant boost to effectiveness

i am soup, with too many ideas (all of them very spicy) who has made sufficient homebrew material and character to last an thousand human lifetimes
I did indeed love that part! It basically gave me pseudo profiency in any tool. Which was great. Also it meant I couldn't be disarmed of my tool-and possibly resulting in just no s pells at all if I'm not carrying another pack where I can reach/an infused item. Sure All Purpose Tool does that now.. but I honestly adored having a completley "in house" ability to pull that off. With that infusion + 1 hour to make any artisan tool. Felt very cool.
Interestingly the all purpose tools really just does my preferred changes to the alchemist from long ago. A tool kit that lets them get +#s (I just wanted to let EAF work on alch tools), and the ability to snag cantrips from other classes (like tome lock) was my main solution way back when. So that is a fun item.
but UA armour of Tools is still easily my favorite still. Just felt very flavorful and really helped zero in on non combat utilty; while solving some combat issues. So sad it never made it trhough.
I played the Raven Queen Warlock UA in a Curse Of Strahd campaign and in a high-level one-shot, and I LOVED it. The abilities were useful, flavorful as heck, I wish it had stuck around.

I was a huge fan of the Seeker Warlock, and I also thought the modern magic thing was fun. I'd love to see a 5e update to d20 Modern
My favorites are the modern magic UA and the psionic soul sorcerer (still upset we got aberant mind instead)
If I can't say something nice, I try to not say anything at all. So if I suddenly stop participating in a topic that's probably why.
i mean its basically the same as the psionic soul minus the psi dice and plus some tentacles you can just pretend don't exist
