Hello! I’m making a level 10 Half Orc Battle Master. He’s coming in next session, replacing my character that died last session. So far what I have is stats at 18 Strength, 12 Dex, 16 Con, 10 Int, 8 Wis, and 10 Cha. Armor is Chain Mail as well as having a shield so 19 AC with Defense Fighting Style. Feats are Slasher, Polearm Master, and Sentinel. Equipment is dungeoneers pack, Halberd, shield, and such. Maneuvers at this point are Pushing Attack, Menacing Attack, Precision Attack, Sweeping Attack, Trip Attack, Feinting Attack, and Maneuvering Attack. The Maneuver DC is 16 and Superiority die is 4d10. Just want some advice on what I can do to optimize! I welcome feedback and criticism!
You should get menacing attack because of the synergy with a 10-foot reach on polearms and Sentinel. A frightened enemy can't approach you. So if you wail on someone and hit with menacing attack you do an extra 1d10 and if he saves, in addition to having disadvantage he can't come closer to you on his turn.
In terms of battlefield control menacing attack is the best maneuver IME. It also works well at range, so you can throw a javelin and then they can't close with you on their turn.
Feinting attack is not a good maneuver for this build. With Pole Arm Master, if you take the attack action you can attack as a bonus action. Instead of Feinting and giving yourself advantage, just make another attack. When would advantage on an attack be better than one more attack?
If you’re using a halberd, you can’t use a shield. Might want to save on weight and not bother to carry it around.
At level 10, you’re only allowed basic gear? I don’t even mean magic. I’d think you’d be allowed plate mail, most fighters have that by level 3-4 or so.

As Xalthu pointed out, you can't use a halberd and a shield. You can use a spear or staff with shield, but not a heavy, 2h weapon like a halberd.
As cgarciao says, get Great Weapon Master. I would drop Slasher and pick up GWM.
I would drop three levels of fighter and add in barbarian. So it would be fighter 7/barbarian 3, which would give you Rage, Unarmored Defense, Reckless Attacks (which makes GWM work), Danger Sense and a Primal Path (i.e. subclass).

Thank you! I’ll add that to the build!

I believe we just start with basic gear yes. I can double check with the DM.
Hmmm *dips finger into build sauce and tastes*
*Smacks lips*
Yeah, needs more GWM
