(Sorry, the title should be “attack,” not “action,” but I couldn’t edit it.)
Unless otherwise stated in each maneuver’s description (i.e. use a bonus action, etc.), does expending a superiority die to enact a maneuver cost one of my attacks?
For example, I get two attacks. I hit the target with one attack and now I want to use the Pushing Attack maneuver. Does the maneuver use up my second attack or do I still get my second attack after attempting the maneuver?
I’m getting conflicting information online and I couldn’t find an answer specific to my question on the forum.
The PHB says "You can use only one maneuver per attack."
Also, in the PHB, it states "Certain features, such as the Extra Attack feature of the fighter, allow you to make more than one attack with this [Attack] action."
So, going back to the original scenario, I can attack then use the Pushing Attack maneuver, and then I still get my second attack and a second maneuver if I wish (and I have enough superiority dice left).

Thank you for your time and assistance!
I think I found the answer to my question.

Wanted to bump the thread, I'm curious to hear answers about this as well.
No, maneuvers are only actions if they say so, like Feint, which takes a bonus action.
Generally, maneuvers enhance single attacks and you can use additional maneuvers for each attack you are doing.
Thanks!
