Easiest thing is just to Google "D&D map town" or similar and look at the picture results. If you're looking for premade maps and don't mind spending some money then I highly recommend Czepeku (you can find them on Patreon) who do some gorgeous maps and currently have around 4,000 in their back catelogue. If you're looking to draw your own I've not used it myself but I know several people who swear by Inkarnate as a great way to create everything from dungeons to entire worlds
I’ve used Inkarnate for the main world map and thought it did a good job balancing simplicity with making a nice-looking final result. I probably still prefer hand-drawing continent maps, but begrudgingly accept that some of the digital functionality, such as shading, colors, and legible handwriting are fairly significant boons.
I was not super fond of it for town maps. That’s not necessarily a fault of the program - I know many folks who swear by it - I just tend to find click and stick programs are not my wheelhouse and I much prefer hand-drawing maps instead of browsing menus to find the assets I want. I will note, the free assets on Inkarnate for towns are fairly limited. Enough that you can build a town or city, but, as your city size increases, the lack of options might make it feel very repetitive.

I’m helping out my DM, figured I’d get a map of the characters’ home town. Is there a site that has pre-made, or programs to create?
