so my dm cant make it to tomorrows session and i had this idea and and wondering what the community thinks?
Would you play this?
Any suggestions or key details i may have missed?
Any thoughts appreciated.
2v2 tag matches- 2 players per team
RULES
1 player per team in the ring at a time. 2nd player waits on the outside of the arena to be tagged in.
A player can move to their teams corner and tag there partner in as an action on there turn. While not in the ring the player rolls a d20 for there turn
1- That player has disadvantage on the next d20 they roll until the end of there next turn 2-10 The players team mate gains the blessed effect until the start of your next turn 11-19 The enemy player (in the ring) gains the bane effect until the start of your next turn 20- You can regain a spell slot not previously selected by this ability or you can use one of your Available hit dice
If it were me, I would give it a shot as a player.
I saw a one-shot where the DM fit a tennis match into 5e as best he could, and I found it interesting to watch that slow-motion but action-oriented competition of a familiar sport between two of the party members. (The DM published the rules later due to positive feedback. I can't find them, though.)
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Human. Male. Possibly. Don't be a divider. My characters' backgrounds are written like instruction manuals rather than stories. My opinion and preferences don't mean you're wrong. I am 99.7603% convinced that the digital dice are messing with me. I roll high when nobody's looking and low when anyone else can see.🎲 “It's a bit early to be thinking about an epitaph. No?” will be my epitaph.
