Sorcerers have a ton of evocations in their spell list, including Meteor Swarm and the ever popular Wish. Warlocks lack large selections of damage spells. Sorcerers get metamagic to boost damage, warlocks don't have a single feature for boosting magic damage outside of Eldritch Blast.
