Seriously - this seems like a simple automation that would save me hours of menial prep. Yes, you would still have to modify/edit as you see fit, but there should be a "populate chapter" button. Please implement!
Love everything about D&D beyond. Please keep up the hard work and know that you are appreciated!!
Thanks everyone. Maps is great. Love it. Want more of it. But auto loading encounters would be primo. Something like “load” this room or that encounter into “encounters.” Or something to sync the map and the encounter. I manually loaded Chapter 5 encounters into the encounter function and it took about 22 minutes. I know that doesn’t seem like that long, but that’s 22 minutes that could be done with a “load encounter” function - and minutes turn into hours over time.
That is an interesting idea. I don't think there's anything quite like that yet. What you're describing almost sounds like it would take some AI generative tools to function. I wouldn't be surprised if someone comes out with something like what you're describing. I know there is a mapping tool that uses AI to generate rooms with furniture and other dressings. I have a friend who is working on an AI tool that generates adventures. I imagine in the next few years we might see something like what you're describing.

Yes! I just bought Storm Kings Thunder expecting that the maps would then appear on the Map Browser's Adventure drop down. Surprised it doesn't.
they've mentioned that older adventures will eventually be ported into Maps. it's still in Alpha so work to be done.
Thanks Wheezal! Good to hear!
