Title says it all. Do I have to upload all the maps individually or what? Its not why I spent $30 on the book to be honest - feel (a) ripped off and (b) confused but quite happy to feel (c) stupid cause I am missing something obvious.
Basically I cant see how to launch the adventure to make it a campaign... seems counterintuitive and I am brand new AND playing tonight for first session (timings have brought us ahead fo purselves so am on the hop a bit).
Not all maps are currently supported. The Maps feature is in Alpha release state. This means it is in very early stages and is a work in progress.
In the marketplace when viewing a title, if digital is selected then below the add to cart button it tells what is unlocked digitally on D&D Beyond. If it unlocks maps, it will say so and how many.
There is also the giant ""Now Available In Maps" button which is very large and centre at top. Clicking that will show all titles with maps to unlock. Here is a direct link: https://marketplace.dndbeyond.com/SALE-MAPS-WK19

As for using maps. Create a Campaign. Have a Master Tier Subscription. Go to Maps tool, select your campaign, and select the book then the map to load.
As mentioned some books (not all and not Yawning Portal book) have maps to unlock which will show there. There's also free basic maps. You can also upload your own maps - so if the book isn't supported you can save the map to your device, and then upload it into the map.

Thank you - so I basically scooped this one over the bar... damn. Just wanted a plug/play as Roll20 is so cumbersome and my players suggetsed using DnD beyond - didnt want to shell out for a bigger campaign like GoS with the new ed coming out and Vecna doesnt appeal. So I have to download and upload everything myself for this one? Sigh. That will teach me for being all keen! Thank you for the reply.

Maps is currently in Alpha and all of D&D Beyond's existing book library is being backfilled into Maps. Tales from the Yawning Portal will be eventually added.
