Is there a toggle somewhere in the settings that will include the sections for description and notes when I use a sharing link for my character? I know there are people out there that feel the need to hide information about their characters from their fellow players so the option needs to exist to hide those things, but I don't want them hidden. They're part of what I want to share when I share my character—more so than most of the mechanical stuff. I can respect the desire for other players to hide things on their character but only if it's not forced on me.
Last I heard this is something being worked on. I do know it's been discussed since 2017 so along with animal companions and accessing char sheet on the mobile app it's "being worked on" or "on the list" but we don't know when/how it will be implemented.
I too want this feature, because I want to share my description and notes with my DM at least.

if you are in a campaign, the person assigned as DM of the campaign within dndbeyond can see all of the character sheet including notes and descriptions regardless. as a side note, the DM of the campaign does not need to be the one that is sharing content or have any subscription.
I can see hiding backstory, allies and enemies type stuff.
I wish there was a physical description that was always visible to other players in the campaign. That way I can have a visual idea of what they look like. It's not like my character isn't looking right at them so should know what they look like and what they are wearing.
Wysperra: I'm asking for the opposite of hiding. Hiding is the default for the share character links right now. As for why people would want to hide things: some people see value in keeping secrets from the other players (as opposed to just the other characters). I don't agree. I don't need to agree with the play style of people that aren't in the same gaming group as I am though, I just need D&D Beyond to also support my preferences.
Sharing is the default setting, anyone who uses your character link can see your notes, [REDACTED], it has been the default the entire DnDbeyond has existed, and it even works on the mobile app. This has been pointed out by several people already, [REDACTED]
Notes: Remain civil in your posts, or refrain from posting
Maybe I need to check again, or find the manual for the site or something. Looking at another character sheet for a player in the campaign I created I don’t see the NOTES section on their sheet, which has their backstory. I’ll check again since this could be an PEBCAK type error.
You can't get their notes through using the share link, but if you're the DM you can open up their character from inside the campaign and that'll give you access to the notes

I'm curious, what would you want to hide and why?

Wow just realized this at the end of 2021 and yeah… don’t see a way to share my notes with the dm… still???

I also want those notes shared without been on a campaign, not sure if that is something worked on yet?
