Hello, has anyone found complete adventures for VTT use on this format? As I transition to VTT with the 2024 rules, I am wanting to drop my current google sheets spreadsheet format for encounters and perhaps use the one on this site.
What I am hoping is that this all gets to a point where if I buy a digital adventure, I can just plug it in and run it. Maps, Encounters, Monsters (and their placement), NPC's..... Everything set up and ready to play.
Is this already a thing? perhaps an unobtainable dream? I see things on like DMguild and Drivethru for Foundry and Roll20 that seem like it might kind of work like that (though most of them are just maps and a story) and I'm not opposed to using those formats either, but am hoping that D&DBeyond becomes the standard (and high quality)
So far the Maps VTT on Beyond has been getting all newly released adventures added to it and they've been slowly going through the backlog (it's taken a bit of a pause while they stop the general site being on fire after the new PHB changes) so hopefully whatever adventure you want to play should have all the maps etc ready to use
What I'm hoping eventually happens is that these modules are released with the maps prepped including tokens and encounters. Lazy DM I know, but my time is far more limited than it was when I would just create the world myself. It would be well worth my money... It would be nice to see what a professional team could do vs what I did as well.
Either way, I chose D&D Beyond as our platform and I'm going all in, I just hope they don't let me down.
