Double-bladed Scimitar Eberron: Rising From The Last War
This traditional weapon of Eberron's Talenta plains Halflings is a scimitar blade on each end of a grip. The original mechanic was a two-handed weapon that deals longsword damage and gives a lesser bonus action attack.
This makes it a Finesse weapon, adds Cleave, and removes the special Bonus Action attack. This allows for a Dexterity-based two-handed build and keeps all of the mechanics within the standard weapon properties. Keeping the same damage dice makes it good with Great Weapon Fighting (average damage per hit goes from 5 to 6.5), but is it too good? While Great Weapon Master can give a Bonus Action attack, it doesn't synergize too well because the Double-bladed Scimitar doesn't have the Heavy property.
Making this Finesse allows Rogues to wield it and sneak attack with it. It might be a little odd, but I don't see a problem with it.
Hoopak Dragonlance: Shadow Of The Dragon Queen
This traditional weapon of the Kender of Dragonlance is a walking stick that has a pointed base and a sling at the other end. The original mechanic was that it was one item that could be used as a martial melee weapon and a martial ranged weapon.
Special: The prongs at the end of the Hoopak can be used to improve the range of a Sling. When a sling is attached to a Hoopak, the sling gains the Two-handed property and the normal range increases by 30 feet and the long range increases by 60 feet.
This simplifies the profile and makes a traditional weapon of travelers Simple rather than Martial. I think the weapon profile is more in line with Simple weapons and the special rule is simpler as well. I think it's a cleaner version that makes more sense thematically.
Yklwa Tomb of Annihilation
Another traditional weapon. This is a staff with a long blade at one end.
Because of the long handle, I considered adding Versatile 1d10, but I wasn't sure how that would interact with the Thrown property. I don't really think it needs it anyway.
