So, I have my Lizardfolk character pretty much figured out. But, I am somewhat unsure how I want the ability scores to be. He is a Urban Bounty Hunter with the Ranger class, and I am using the point buy method for the ability scores. Currently I have it set to STRENGTH: 12, DEXTERITY: 14, CONSTITUTION: 13, INTELLIGENCE: 11, WISDOM: 12 and CHARISMA: 10. Does that seem good, or is there another way the may be better to start with? I am open to ideas.
Litrix is born into a fishing community in Vilhon Reach (The Wetwoods). They have made this their home for many generations. He is part of a tribe that has made its home in such a place that while being relatively close to a settlement, it is also a place where a group of Ogres have recently, started to use part of the shallower fishing ground for stashing variety of goods. For example, weapons, chests full of plunder ect. As time has gone on, the tribe has tried to deter the Ogres from doing this, but they learned quick that they would end up angering them to the point that the Ogres would start to tear up trees and have ruined a significant part of area that is used for fishing. This is a on going cycle. Litrix's tribe has consistent trade and communication with a Gnome community in a nearby settlement. This is their one consistent contact to the goings on outside of the swamp that they live in. At the age of 18, and having spent some time with the Gnomes, Litrix's curiosity has become unusually large compared to the others of his tribe. During a usual meet up with the Gnomes, both parties were ambushed at the edge of the swamp by three Ogres. During the chaos, Litrix realised that a Gnome child, that belonged to one of the leaders of the visiting group, had snuck out and followed behind. Realizing that saving the child could only help show the other people in the city (those that are not Gnomes) that the "swamp dwellers" as they are known by the rest, are not just pretending to be friends and trading information and various goods out of necessity.
I’d highly recommend switching your ability scores to look more like: Str 8, dex 15, con 14 (16), int 10, wis 15 (16), cha 8.
This way we can raise the stats important to your character (for optimized play, only you yourself truly know what you’d like for your character) and let the rest of the skill responsibilities (your dumped stats) to fall upon your group. This way everyone feels like they excel and offer something to the table in their respective expertise.
When you mellow out your ability scores you’ll be decent at everything but not exceptionally great at what you want to do (sort of like a bard except even bards focus their stat pools for the same reason).

Cool, I think I see what you're saying. I will check it out, and go from there. Thank you.

Str 12, Dex 14, Con 14(16), Int 8, Wis 13(14), Cha 12. The int and cha scores are interchangeable you choose.
What's the character backstory?
Here is part of his back story.

So, what do you think?
