Bards have always kind of been in between divine and arcane magic. 5e doesn't really distinguish between divine and arcane magic, so it doesn't matter as much.
5th ed is a bit weird (compared to previous versions) in that spells are spells. Their source is determined by class or in some cases race (for racial spells) rather than strictly spells of a divine nature or arcane nature. As filcat mentions Bards are indeed arcane magic manipulators by RAW.
That said as per much of D&D it is up to the setting/DM/group how they perceive a bards magic to be, it could be that it is considered divine magic for that individuals group.
Personally tough I like having bards as their own magic type that I've dubded as 'Prose'. It is essentially the power of poetry, song and voice.
I was told today, that divine magic is associated with bards. Can anyone dispute this? Is this true?
One can check the sidebar here that bards manipulate arcane magic.
