Sorry this my first thread. I’ve been gaming for years and I love using items for things other than intended. We have a never ending cup of acid from a trap that use to refill weapons and melt hinges on chests that lovingly give our GM fits. He just gave us a trap chest with a black hole effect that removed the metal arm from our Dragonborn, but it seems like a gimme that it can be used for other stuff. We immediately used it to get rid of some inert flesh golems that I didn’t want to see come back to bite us in the butt. Any ideas for uses for this thing? If I can logically justify it, and it doesn’t totally break the game, the GM is good with it. Thanks!

There is basically a an item like that: Sphere of annihilation
Yes, and now we have a portable version in a chest. How do I use it to our advantage?
just put all of the lower planes into it
Prop it above a door like a bucket of water, except it destroys whoever it drops on?
More serious than my last trap, put it in a pit trap
Edit: Be prepared to fight everything you drop in it in case your dm decides it's a portal and not a sphere of annihilation.
