Pardon if this has already been asked, but I didn't see this specific question in the forums. The attack and damage rolls for magic weapons don't seem to be working correctly.
I recently created a homebrew magic sword, and used the existing +2 longsword as the template. However, I noticed that the rolls for attack and damage do not include this +2 bonus, even though it is definitely listed in the modifiers section as "bonus - magic" + "fixed value 2". When I equipped this sword for a character, I noticed that only his strength and proficiency bonuses were included in the attack and damage rolls.
Am I doing something wrong? I can't see what I'm doing wrong, since I'm simply copying the existing +2 longsword.
I'm assuming you made other modifications to the weapon, which is why you homebrewed it and didn't just use the +2 weapon. So, did you make the weapon require attunement, and if so, are you attuned to it? That seems to be the problem 99.9% of the time.
/e If that's not the problem post the url to the weapon itself for expedited help from a mod when they stumble upon this post.

That's exactly what it was (attunement), thank you very much for your help!
