Breathe, dragons; sing of the First World, forged out of chaos and painted with beauty. Well they did mention a lot of times that there going to be going through the process of overhauling the backend side of DND beyond, they also mentioned that they might be working on something to replace the A La carta system (they did say it would be different and wouldn't be that though). They also might be making a 2024 encounter builder and they also seem to be looking into how they could upgrade the homebrew system using the backend overhaul.

I could see them doing mini-bundles -- i.e. all the monsters from the supplements released over a certain period of time, all the subclasses, all the magic items etc.
Or just spinning all the player options out of each book. If you want the 5e24 artificer, you have to take all the Eberron species and spells too, that sort of thing

Read through a few pages of the questions and answers and didn't see anything about new products coming down the pipe. Sorry, i know we are all waiting for something worth waiting for, but I didn't see any questions about that, it was mostly about Beyond site features.
I hope you have a wonderful day, and that you find news that excites you.

"Hope is a fire that burns in us all If only an ember, awaiting your call To rise up in triumph should we all unite The spark for change is yours to ignite." Kalandra - The State of the World
The replacement for a-la-carte might be something similar to products on previous editions that combined options from different releases into compendiums like "The Complete Arcane", "Priest Spell Compendium" or "Tome of Magic". Nowadays, it being mini-bundles like the Astarion book might be what they do.
Or it might be a return to being able to buy all the monsters or all the subclasses etc but without the granularity that used to allow us buy just one thing because frankly that must have been a nightmare to track. Carving a book up into three or four sizeable chunks would be a decent middle ground
Definitely recommend taking a look through the questions that we got through. Brian isn't on the creative team, so no questions about upcoming product releases were answered.

A little peeved that they didn't answer EVERY question(I had a buddy w/a Reddit account who fielded mine).
But the backend news was one thing I wanted to hear about. Still, the whole site's coding, not just the backend, needs a total redo to reduce the amount of "spaghetti coding" as an explanation AND an excuse for things not working.

I don't really use Reddit, and I actually thought it was going to be a recorded video where people could ask questions, not just a bunch of forum posts.

I saw that question and kept it in my mind to flag once we got through the ones we'd prepped (in the sense of 'these questions came in early and we had time to write those answers out for easy copy/paste' and not any sort of canned answer prepping).
I really shouldn't have, but I underestimated the amount of questions we got vs. the amount of time we'd set aside. We'll be learning from that for the next one we do.

I remember way back when they still did Developer Update live streams, both Adam and Dave Hartless said they were working on an update to the backend that would ease future development. Not sure how much, if any, of that got done but even if it did, by now the technical debt on the site must be bonkers (and if they didn't implement it, so much worse). Not trying to justify things not working/being fixed at all, just speculating on how big the plate of spaghetti is at this point. I'm delighted that they are focusing on it. As cool as Maps is for all those who wanted a VTT, I'm thrilled the current stuff is getting some attention.

The executive producer can answer the rest of the questions here if they want.
Heck, I'd recommend they do.

Greetings D&D Beyond and Community,
Did any of you attend the AMA on Reddit yesterday (last night on the East Coast)?
I am wondering if any new product announcements were made, or possibly maybe some big updates to the DDB site in general.
This is not fishing for negative comments about WotC or DDB, so try and keep the positive energy flowing :)
Cheers!

We also got told that there will be a news post around new years giving a roadmap to 2026 from what I remember
You could read the AMA yourself

Either would be fine. The advantage of doing mini-compendiums is that it's easier to allow them on Organized Play vs a setting book IMO.
