So for a race that I have created and would like to make public, there is the issue of the fact that there is a variant that would only exist in worlds that have tech. by this I mean that there would need to be civilizations that use technology like The internet and any Technology device like phones and stuff. the reason why is because the variant is able to do some things that the non variant could not do. another reason is because of a realm that would exist in such technologically advanced worlds.
I was wondering if that would even be possible to do and whether I could make the homebrew realm visible to the public? the thing about the realm is it can exist regardless of the race existing and the race's variant would need it to exist...
if that wasn't possible then I plan on just releasing the race and not it's varient
It is usually best to design races to not be setting dependant or at least have "in other settings" explanations for them. You can't really publish or link homebrew settings to monsters, just describe it the best you can in description (without drowning them in lore they will never use or even look at), or don't publish it.
