Neat as that might be, that’s a HUGE undertaking. Two different companies - Wizards and Larian - would have to build completely new infrastructure, desired to communicate with one another in some way. This is one of those things that might sound super easy, but would probably be a bit of a logistical and technical nightmare.
There are multiple instances of custom digital dice imported into Baldur's Gate 3 as seen *live* on Twitch whenever an ability check event occurs.
Did not know how this was possible, however, it is neat to see different colored d20 dice replete with custom numbers inscribed on them being rolled.
Also appreciate Baldur's Gate 3 integration with Twitch where spectators can participate in a poll whenever the player interacts with non-player characters to affect the outcome as well as a 2-button functionality that allows spectators to see the character sheet, inventory and other useful information of the venturing party.
Personally, while I am thrilled that BG3 is bringing more people to the TT form of D&D, I would personally prefer they keep as much of it as far away from table top as humanly possible, given that the game play for BG3 is significantly different from the regular game play of D&D.
It leads to some unusual circumstances and unrealistic expectations that create conflict. Additionally, they reinforce the presumption of the published worlds as normative and desirable, when they are used by less than half the players of the game.
in fairness, though, I am both older and also uninterested in any video game version of D&D (they miss the whole point entirely, imo), so ymmv...

Exporting dice, characters, etc from DnD Beyond into BG3 is surely doable if the BG3 modding community puts their collective minds to it. Doesn't require any effort from WotC or Larian, since BG3 is a single player game and already set up to allow modification.
Importing BG3 information into DnD Beyond, forget about that ever happening unless you're personally creating Homebrew entries manually.

Modders cannot do what OP is asking. OP is asking that a player be able to take the dice they have purchased and put it into BG3 - a mod is not going to be able to look at your D&D Beyond account, figure out what dice you own, and then import only those only into the game.
And that is before you get to the intellectual property issues implicated with “modders can just steal Wizards’ copyrighted dice designs and toss them into the game.”

Seems like they could just recreate the same thing without much issue. They're just dice

To you “they’re just dice” - but that doesn’t change the reality that they are Wizards property. Does that mean Wizards is going to bring legal action against the creator of a mod using these designs? Probably not—unless the mod became large enough to force Wizards’ hand. But does it mean Nexus Mods or any other mod hosting site should, and likely would, delist the mod for violating their terms and conditions about using their sites to host intellectual property theft? Yep.

Wouldn't necessarily change the fact that they're someone else's intellectual property. Granted, whether or not WotC would actually do something about it if a mod simply recreated the dice skins as options for BG3 is another matter.

Did you actually play BG 3? In one breath you are uninterested in any video game version of DnD, but in the first you seem to have extensive knowledge of BG3 to claim what it does and doesn't capture well. It's kind of contradictory.

It would be great, for example, that Baldurs Gate 3 could import your digital dice from D&D Beyond. Maybe even import / export characters.

In theory, sure. Get cracking!
