I'm running a new party through the Lost Mine of Phandelver and so far so good, although an idea struck me for making such modules more dynamic rather than purely static affairs.
Some of the modules I've run have had truly tongue-twisting names for some of the NPCs (I'm looking at you Doomvault) and a nice feature would be to have a list of NPCs at the start of a module and be able to rename them to something else, possibly even tweak them even more - this would then change all the references to the NPC in said module in DND Beyond.
Any thoughts from other people about this? I think it would be a useful thing to help putting in your own NPCs into a story without having to remember changing references and to also customise modules dynamically for games.

I've run a load of games, played a load of games in a load of systems.
I'm currently experimenting with AI tools for game generation.
I second plagrescarred, you can just do that. Or do you mean editing the document so you don’t have to remember when it says Bob, I need to replace that with Larry, and when is says Sarah, that should be Rachael? Because while that would be neat, I don’t see it happening, WotC doesn’t even allow pdfs of their stuff, no way would let people change them. At least not officially.
Thanks for the ideas; I meant a basic copy/replace for NPCs on the D&DBeyond site, so when you read the module online your customised names for npcs were there before, like a personal customisation option.
I am a big fan of random name generators, my current go to is the FanG app :)
Hmmm, pushing it further D&BB could expand their campaign module or a VTT so you can have name replacements.
At this point I'm starting to spitball ideas for the site rather than a question!

As DM you can always rename NPCs however you like. Internet has plenty random name generator for inspiration too.

It depends what format is the adventure from;
Physical copy: Easily editable manually using post it.
D&D Beyond: No edit possible. A way around would be to re-create them all.
Virtual Table Easily editable manually.

At the moment I'll stick to GDocs.
