I made a magic item but it is cursed and gives the player sunlight sensitivity. I don't see a way to add that. I made modifiers that give disadvantage but it shows the disadvantage as constant. Is there a way to change that?

There is no way to know if the character or a target is "in direct sunlight". Even bright light may or may not be sunlight.
So, the only way to translate the concept into code, is to create two separate magic items, one that is in effect while in sunlight, with the disadvantage, and one while out of sunlight.
