Hi everyone! For the campaign I'm currently running, I've put together a group of Dragonborn villains who occasionally clash with the party. Initially they were all put together as player characters on DDB, but since that was too much to keep track of, I'm finally doing the work of streamlining them in the form of homebrew monster stat blocks.
Without further ado:
Frostrager Dragon Knight The core concept is a multiclassed paladin/barbarian with a frost theme (a white dragonborn). It aims to immobilize its foes, before eventually going into a frenzy and tearing through whoever is in its way.
Flame Scion Dragon Knight The core concept of this one is a fighter/sorcerer with a fire theme. It's mostly a sorcerer, but since spell slots are bothersome to keep track of on a monster stat block, I tried to simplify it a bit by using the form factor of the newer books.
I would love any thoughts or comments - whether it be about formatting (e.g. my attempt at being explicit regarding reaction spells for the Flame Scion) or mechanics.
These guys are crap loaded with equally useful features, they would be impossible to run.
I would drop most of the class features to give them a debuffing/ damage breath. Then boost their health.
Formatting wise, you can but reaction spells in the reaction section. Further spellcasting in monsters has changed (https://dnd.wizards.com/articles/sage-advice/creature-evolutions for reference) and you don't really need to list the spells they can cast except for the most useful ones.
