I was playing Battle Brothers in between campaigns and it hit me that armour durability would be a pretty swank addition to my campaign. Does anybody here know of some rules that have been thought out already?
Something like armour having its own hp values, damage received reduces durability. Potential Points of interest:
HP damage could bleed from armour to person, handled differently by each armour type:
Heavy makes the extra damage received be subdual (getting battered)
Medium halves the damage received (idk anything about balance just spitballing)
Light is destroyed easily or something who knows
When HP is cut in half the AC bonus given is -2 its base value
If reduced to 0 there's a chance it's destroyed completely
Crafting skills can repair armour during short rests
Maybe destroyed armour dropped by baddies are good mats to collect to help repair
Prevents people from stripping 20 orcs of their full plate
A friend told me to just go play a different game cause this would be too much work, hence my original question about popular solutions, but what do all y'all think?
