in our home brew game our DM gave each player a blessing, an ability we can activate once each day. With the new changes for non level feats i thought it was good time to change this "blessing" from an item to a feat. but its turning out to be quite the mess.
My stages of development.
Started by trying to make the one hour resistance in the feat a modifier but despite setting it to have a 1 hour duration it didn't seem to come up on the PC as an activated ability and just always gave the resistance. So I switched to the feat giving a spell. Made that spell. So now I can cast it but it doesn't show a modifier , which I assume is because there in no way to denote an hour in the sheet like a short rest. but unlike the lack of a dawn button, which is a bit more work, I'm not sure whats stopping an hour button from being added.
Anyway the magic item is back to the only way I've been able to add it but even with limited use modifier its just an on/off switch for some reason.
Much like spells with long durations, there is no option as of now to turn off abilities after an hour of in-game time. I think, for now, toggling the resistance on/off with an item is your best course of action
More precise 'video game' level of character management isn't currently in the character sheet. As time develops it'll get more fleshed out in those regards, I think. For now, duration effects such as those cannot be easily toggled. An item would likely be your best bet. Equip it when it's going, unequip it when it isn't.

So suggestions?
