Ok so I have a wizard subclass idea I'm working on for a home game. Centered around light. I'm struggling figuring out how to give them access to specific spells from Cleric/Druid lists that fit thematically (like faerie fire, guiding bolt, daylight, etc.) granted exactly how wizards normally learn and prepare their spells
Oh sorry I meant mechanically in the homebrew creator so the character can access those spells when leveling up with the app
As far as I can remember you can't do that for individual spells. You can either grant them as automatically known & always prepared, or you can grant access to a whole spell list. But you can't add a specific set of spells to a spell list that they could choose to learn.

You could do exactly that. Something like "they studied the other sources of magic to incorporate into their own system".
You could also reference the "theology" subclass for ideas. It was from a UA, I think? I don't exactly remember where I saw it.

Ah, unfortunate. Thanks anyway!
