I've homebrewed some magic dragonscale belts that grant the user advantage on saving throws for the damage corresponding to the colour of the belt. i.e. black dragonscale belt gives you advantage to avoid the acid breath attack.
Creating the item here, I don't see a way to do that. Saving throws are limited to the corresponding ability but I don't see a way to put the condition that it's only for a specific type of attack.
I'm pretty new to creating items in here, so looking for some help to see if it's possible.
You can add a description of the restriction to the "Details" field on the modifier and it'll show up on the character sheet.
There's no way to enforce that a person using it only actually rolls the saves with advantage for that specific type of attack, because the character sheet has no way of knowing what the user is rolling a save against.
I have that in the notes already. I wasn't sure if I was missing something in how things function when creating them here. I feel like digitally, it would be relatively simple to program that kind of conditional advantage here, but I get that it has to match the analog method of tracking.
Thanks!
