The other day I made a cantrip level spell, but as of late I've been debating on whether it it's too strong to be a cantrip and would either need to become a leveled spell or be nerfed in some way. Let me know what your opinion is cause I did plan on making a leveled spell varaint at some point, but it this is already at leveled spell strength I may pass on that.
Seems mostly balanced, but as it's a cantrip I would drop the material component, and make it so you can't see invisible creatures, that's just to OP for a cantrip, though maybe with higher level scaling you see/do extra things.
Well the way I had it worded was the user would "know" the location, but they wouldn't be able to see the target due it still being invisible. Which was the main part I was concerned about, so if you think it that's too much I can get rid of that part. Though, how I read your comment it seemed like you thought that it revealed the invisible target, which is not how it should function.
As for the range... not sure if you main the range you can see or shoot the arrow. Cause as is, the range will vary depending on what ranged weapon you are using.
Oh I how you were confused by it... the spells works as "touch" ranged spell, because you give the arrow that ability, then the 30 feet radius part is stated as is to be similar to set up like this for spells such as fireball where it shows the range of 120 ft but a radius of 30 feet.

Also range should be maybe 60ft.

Ahhh, so you know there is an invisible target somewhere in the range, but not really where.
And the range, wouldn't the 30 feet you said be the range of detection? If so then that should be 60 feet.
