I don't know if I'm doing it wrong when I create my homebrew item (a boom box that amplifies spells) but when I apply a Spell Attack Range Multiplier of "3", I'm intending for that to increase the range of all spells used with the item equipped by a multiplier of 3 (3x the range of any spell's base range).
Unfortunately it doesn't change the range of any of the spells in the Spell List whilst the item is equipped. Is this a bug? Or am I doing something wrong?
I wasn't sure if I should put this thread in the Bug section or not as I wasn't sure if I was doing something wrong or if it was actually a legitimate bug.
I'm having similar issues with homebrew range modifiers on spells. I may be using the creation tools incorrectly (or at least understanding them poorly). I'm trying to create spells that evolve as the character levels in the class, i.e. spell similar to Burning hands 10 foot cone at level 3; 15 foot cone at level 8, and 20 foot cone at level 15. I've got the damage modifiers working correctly, except adding burn damage at 8th and 15th levels after the fact, but that's a whole separate issue I've not started on yet.
