I would like to make a feat that adds a damage modifier and AC modifier, but only for when you use a single versatile weapon. I know you can do it with two weapon fighting, is there a way to specify the type of weapon like that?
For those curious, I'm making a feat called "Dueling Master" that kind of justifies taking the two-weapon fighting as a fighter. Also thought it was kind of bogus that there were feats for light weapons, finesse weapons, and heavy weapons but not really any in-between, so it rectifies both hopefully. The feat adds +1 strength, as well as +1 AC and a +2 damage modifier when you dual-hand/use only one versatile weapon in combat. But I can't figure out if I can specify the weapon type like that.
I'm not sure about the AC and damage, but I would suggest making it plus 1 strength or Dex, because I have never played a strength based dueler, and that would put me off of this feat. You could try to copy the defensive duelist feat or duel wielder feat, which could help with figuring out how to do the AC and damage.

The problem you'll probably find is that a lot of specific effects can't be reproduced with changes. The Dual Wielding Armour Class bonus for example is for dual wielding and dual wielding only, there's no equivalent for another weapon type(s) that I'm aware of, only things similar are AC bonuses for Armoured AC and Unarmoured AC.
Sadly there's no way for us to just set a regular AC bonus and then design conditions for when it should apply. You can put a details note on modifiers, but it's just a little piece of text describing when a bonus applies, but for many bonuses the note isn't shown at all, it only really applies to certain advantage/disadvantage modifiers.
We'll probably get a lot more flexibility whenever the Homebrew system is properly overhauled, but I don't think there's been any indication when that's likely to be.

I have unsubscribed from all topics and will not reply to messages. My homebrew is now 100% unsupported.

They’re doing it right meow. Step one was overhauling the character sheet, and I’m sure you recall all of the associated bug reports from that. Step two was disentangling all of the official and homebrew content from the creation software and getting them onto different servers. That was what cause some people’s homebrews to blink in and out like bad strings of holiday lights for a bit. Now they’re reprogramming the creation software to do the stuff that it currently can’t do. It’s a multiphase process.

Yeah, I have it specified for when it applies in the description and that's the best I could come up with at the moment.
It was a fair point on picking between dex and strength, and I made the change, thank you.
