I am making a homebrew race that uses constitution as their ac stat instead of dexterity, is there any way to do this in the editor?
I tried setting the max dexterity bonus for ac to 0 and add con as a bonus but this seemed to ignore the whole trait.
apparently I did something wrong the first time, tried it again and now it works (I think)
modifiers I used:
primary stat: con, Fixed value: 3 to have the unarmored ac be 13 + con
Primary stat: con to add con modifier to armored ac
Fixed value: 0 to prevent dex from adding
Using CON as the AC modifier makes more sense than DEX, especially with light armor.
"Never walk away from home ahead of your axe and sword.
You can't feel a battle in your bones or foresee a fight."
- Havamal, The Sayings of Odin
I mean, isn't part of the AC about not getting hit instead of the hit just bonking back? I feel like Dex as the AC defining stat makes sense.
For the race thing, that's actually interesting - but gotta ask, how would that work with classes like Barbarian and/or Monk?
My Homebrew Spells: Nichuro's Spellcasters Association
Well yes, but I would think it also represents your ability to shrug off hits.

That’s Barbarians’ whole schick.

The modifiers you used are not really working correctly. They are mostly working correctly because nothing is interfering. Better is:
