Game: D&D 5e. We have a homebrew campaign setting. We just finished session 5, so we are still very early in the campaign.
"Two centuries ago the dragons hatched, and then the aliens came. Chaos ruled the streets of the humanlands wreaking havok on their civilization.
Later that year, ancient creatures thought to be extinct or permanently destroyed returned and all the races were imperiled.
The century that followed was dark indeed and many perished long before they should have.
In the centuries that have passed since those times, the number of heroes has dwindled over the years while attempting to repel these ancient horrors.
Where vast metropolises filled with both technological and magical advances once stood, now rubble strewn ruins filled with horrors and treasures lost to time remain in their place.
The call for heroes is once again upon us, as the age of chaos rages on, a siren call has gone out to those with strength and skill to challenge the chaos and mold it for their own.
In the few bastions of safety that remain within the world our story begins. Hidden deep within the forests of Atalantar, is a fortress of nature that guards the community of survivors that live there. Once a purely elven settlement of wild elves exclusively, now it is a communuty of refugees with races of all sorts from across the world. At least the races that survived the chaos of the previous era. Elibria the fortress of the Oak Mother has around 500 residents that do their best to support each other to remain safe despite their mixed heritages.
Now begins the era of "The Living Gods".
The Sparks of Divinity, that which gives the gods their power, have been cast down to the mortal realm, leaving their previous wielders trapped within their domains and cut off from their worshipers.
Many priests have told tales they can no longer contact their deities nor entreat them for information, yet their spells are granted to them each morning when they pray.
These Sparks rained down from the heavens onto the world in a great display of shooting stars across the sky.
On top of this seeming fall of the gods, it may be our only shot at defeating the vampire army that grows closer each day, pressing our defenses harder and harder with each poor soul they force into their ranks.
The God Spark may be our only chance at survival."
Group type: Online. Zoom for video camera during gametime, we are a group that likes to see each other when we play. We typically use theatre of the mind with simple maps for help if needed. We utilize Discord to keep our roleplay active and information relatively organized lol.
Experience: DM has many years experience, ranging from D&D 1E to 5E. I have 5 years experience as a player, mostly with 5E. New players are welcome.
Location/Timezone: Saturday 6-10pm EST.
Schedule: Saturday. Game lasts from 6pm-10pm. We take a 5-10 minute break around 8pm. We want players who can show up each Saturday for about 6 months, maybe up to a year depending on how quick/slow we progress through the game. We started at 5th level and should be level 15+ by the end, currently we are 6th level. If you need help creating a character, we got you.
Roles Sought: 1 Female Player.
Game Style:
1. Roleplay Centric: Character backgrounds are heavily utilized by the DM and intertwined into the story.
2. Team Players: No Player vs. Player is allowed. Be party oriented, not selfish.
3. Active + Chatty: Please check in often, someone who comments in the discord only once or twice a week isn't going to work.
4. Writers: We greatly enjoy writers and we'd love to see the key moments that shaped your character into who they are.
5. Open + Honest: All character discussion will take place in the discord server, DM doesn't want private messages about your character. Character backgrounds are shared with everyone.
6. Mature: Players who are 18+ as there's some mature and dark content.
Party currently consists of a Paladin, a Cleric, and an Artificer, but feel free to play whatever you want, don't worry about rounding out the party.
Other Info:
All characters are from Elibria, they may not have lived their entire lives there, but at least 5+ years.
Please use point buy or standard array for character creation, we are level 6 now.
Any race, class, feats, homebrew and UA allowed with DM approval.
The character must have a bond that would heavily tie them to their fellow party members. For example. The lawful good paladin overlooks his rogue best friend's indiscretions while the rogue would never rob from those the paladin has saved.
Marks of morality and marks of arcanam will be used. Look up the game "Fable."
Players start with 2500gp to equipe their characters. (Common magic items cost 500gp, uncommon 1500gp)
All characters will choose at least one influential person from Elibria that is a close contact and trusted friend.
All characters will be assigned a frenemy based on their character and influential person chosen.
