Good evening one and all, myself and my group are currently looking for 1-2 more people to join us for a new campaign we are starting, currently no info about said campaign as it has yet to be revealed, we will be having a S0 next week or so, and the only two things that the DM stressed was that there were to be no blood hunters or artificers, so all who wish to apply please reply to this post down below with the following format(WARNING:anything else will not be considered)
Name(yours):

A brief character pitch 2 paragraphs minimum.

Character name: Bailey "Worm" Alderbrook - Finnegan (Keeps the last name Finnegan to himself)
Bailey, a human wizard, was once the heir to a printing empire. However, his life took a tragic turn when his mother passed away at the age of 14. This event left his father emotionally devastated, and Bailey, unable to cope with the loss, decided to run away, leaving behind his family. He had a deep bond with his younger sister, whom he loved dearly.
Bailey's mother's death was shrouded in mystery, and he wasn't sure about the circumstances surrounding it. What he did know was that his mother had a connection to a darker, otherworldly plane of existence.
In the years that followed, Bailey survived by living on the streets during his late teenage years. He became intimately acquainted with the common folk of the city, forging close relationships with the underprivileged. He eventually found refuge in an abandoned section of the sewer system, forming a community with others who had fallen on hard times.
This is more of an outline for what I have planned I have a few ideas as to what I have in terms of goals for Bailey and I would love to discuss my backstory further with the DM
My discord is lsfordays I hope to hear from you soon!

Gold dragon breath weapon, 5d6 15ft range and charges 4 times per short rest b/c of sorcerer/Dragonborn with the same draconic effect.
You can use your action to exhale destructive energy. Your draconic ancestry determines the size, shape, and damage type of the exhalation. When you use your breath weapon, each creature in the area of the exhalation must make a saving throw, the type of which is determined by your draconic ancestry. The DC for this saving throw equals 8 + your Constitution modifier + your proficiency bonus. A creature takes 2d6 damage on a failed save, and half as much damage on a successful one. The damage increases to 3d6 at 6th level, and 5d6 at the 11th level. After you use your breath weapon 4 times, you can’t use it again until you complete a short or long rest.

Special Effect: Can travel at normal speed while swimming or on difficult terrain. (DM can still edit)
Starts with 10/10 HP.
Passive Checks A passive check is a special kind of ability check that doesn't involve any die rolls. Such a check can represent the average result for a task done repeatedly, such as searching for secret doors over and over again, or can be used when the DM wants to secretly determine whether the characters succeed at something without rolling dice, such as noticing a hidden monster.
Special senses are described below.
Blindsight A monster with blindsight can perceive its surroundings without relying on sight, within a specific radius.
Creatures without eyes, such as grimlocks and gray oozes, typically have this special sense, as do creatures with echolocation or heightened senses, such as bats and true dragons.
If a monster is naturally blind, it has a parenthetical note to this effect, indicating that the radius of its blindsight defines the maximum range of its perception.
Darkvision A monster with darkvision can see in the dark within a specific radius. The monster can see in dim light within the radius as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. The monster can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray. Many creatures that live underground have this special sense.
Tremorsense A monster with tremorsense can detect and pinpoint the origin of vibrations within a specific radius, provided that the monster and the source of the vibrations are in contact with the same ground or substance.
Tremorsense can't be used to detect flying or incorporeal creatures. Many burrowing creatures, such as ankhegs, have this special sense.
Truesight A monster with truesight can, out to a specific range, see in normal and magical darkness, see invisible creatures and objects, automatically detect visual illusions and succeed on saving throws against them, and perceive the original form of a shapechanger or a creature that is transformed by magic. Furthermore, the monster can see into the Ethereal Plane within the same range.
Sorry, I usually don’t use any other types of contact over D&D so I’m using email (lowercase only): abbott.b.smith@hotmail.com. Hope that’s ok.
I am sorry but not only didnt you follow the specified format that invalidated your application but the character you proposed is also lvl 20, so that will not suit us
Regulus is a Dragonborn Barbarian, that was the champion of the village that he lived in. Mostly everyone knew of him and that he was a formidable fighter. However, he grew too overconfident and began taking his fights non-serious, this would be his downfall. When he turned 19, he fought another Dragonborn and lost badly to them. He felt that he didn’t deserve the title of village champion and self-exiled himself.
This is essentially the backstory, but Regulus isn’t the typical dumb Barbarian, he is smart and can have intellectual conversations. As well as having the ability to make people feel happier around him. Though he will always support any allies he has obtained in his travels as a self-exile.
My name is Mad and I am a 45 year old transgender woman. I have been playing TTRPG's since I was a kid. I have played both sides of the table, player and DM. For the last decade or so I have been the forever DM for a campaign with my kids and their friends. And I am looking at getting to be a player character again.
Name: Mad
Age: 45
Character Name: Ansa Khenbish
Her Baba would always say "That girl has always focused on the horizon rather than the trail meeting her feet." But then again Ansa was always a precocious child, getting herself into mischeif and trouble that the children twice her age in the village hadn't even dreamed of doing yet. It wasn't long before she had outgrown her small village. Insisting that she would go with her cousins to become an adventurer, she would go out into the world and see everything that there was to see. It would not take long for the trail beneath her feet to trip her while she was looking at the horizon.
She doesn't speak much of the time between leaving her village and now. Just short comments thrown out without warning or context and even less in the way of explination afterward. Most who travel with her long enough piece together that her troupe had been ambushed and all but slaughered. Those who had survived were yolked and chained, dragged in a grim procession to the closest slavers port. Some were sold for labor, some sold for the sport of the gladiator pits, and some sold to satisfy someone's twisted hopes and dreams. She never bothered actually stating which she got sold for.
It took more than a few "owners" before she was bought by a perfumed fop for their mysterious master. A long storm thrown boat ride, a short cobblestoned carrage ride, and an abrupt meeting with a bucket of cold water, lye soap, and a sadistic maid with a coarse haired long handled brush ended with the depositing of her naked scrubbed raw posterior on the cold marble tile floor of a mansion that took up more land than her entire village. What happened after that is up to some debate. The spattery of things that have come to light were not given with any connection to dates, times, or what happened first, last, or in the middle.
What is certain is that this mysterious master was more interested in using her as something of bait or sacrifice to lure out their hidden godling. But they hadn't expected that their godling would rather have them as sacrifice. Their lavish decadence and debauchery seasoning their black souls better than any suffering she had experienced. She walked out of the burning mansion with a tapestry draped around her and a new voice in her head. A fair trade she thought.
I am not sure what kind of campaign setting or overall style of play/genre for your game. Currently, I have Ansa envisioned as a Warlock/Bard or a Warlock/Rogue. But I can rebuild her however would fit best within the campaign, group, and starting level.
If you still have a seat open and think I would be a good fit please let me know.
just an update for you both mad and regulus, i just got back from work so i will be looking over your posts and having a word with out DM tomorrow about them, i will let you know asap about interviews
