About me as the Game Master!
Hello, I often go by PUN, I am 26, I use the They/He pronouns. I live in Texas with my two cats. I have been playing Dungeons and Dragons for about half my life. I have been a Dungeon Master for over 7 years. I have been a professional Dungeon Master for 3 years now. I started out in 4e and quickly moved to 5e where I picked up DMing for my small group of friends. It has been one of my biggest passions and greatest joys being able to make an amazing story with those sitting across the table or, in more recent times, screen.
My GMing style is a bit more laid back than most I have experienced in my day. I hate the feeling of the DM being against or "beating" the players. My goal is to build a story with and around the player in my game. If you are not having fun then I am not having fun.
I love a good roleplay heavy session. I have a couple of voices that I can do but don't make fun of me for slipping in and out of them! I am a super laid back and a "will of the players" type GM. The "rule of cool" is something I live by, I may allow something to happen just because I deem it cool. I sometimes twist or bend the rules to make a game more fun for both the players and myself. I mostly run a homebrew game but love running more sandbox modules such as Out of the Abyss.
Welcome to the Forsaken Province!
The Forsaken Province is a land of magic and mayhem, where stories aren't always told in the way you might be used to. The heroes don't always win, the villains aren't always what they seem to be, and happily ever after is long sought after yet always so far away. The land is split into Nine Lands, each ruled by who in our world are known as the villains of their stories. They banded together long ago to tear themselves from their stories, along with the other inhabitants, to create a world that they ruled over. They stripped people of their identities, banned magic, and cut the world into chunks for each villain to rule. For a while things were fine. Each villain with their land to rule and people to control there was peace. Until, as all villains do, they began to get greedy. Fighting over land, resources and control. The more effort that was put into fighting each other was less they could put into controlling the world. Heroes started to rise up, magic became more common, and most importantly villains began to lose.
This is where our party begins their story. As the world teeters on the balance of good and evil, it is their job to decide which way it falls. Players in this story can play anything their imagination comes up with. Play that fairy tale prince or princess your inner child has always wanted. The knight in shining armor, who may not be so bright but loves his friends. Get your Mad Hatter on or even a character out to end a curse on their name. Anything your heart desires. I am sure we can find something to make this game your happily ever after.
The Forsaken Province is something inspired by the TV show "Once upon a time." and all the fairy tales I grew up reading and watching. I had this idea a while back and the world has already exploded to life! I want to allow the players to help build a fantastical world with a rich variety in player characters. I have allowed everything from Mimic wizards to even wild magic warforged that used to be a powerful sorcerer, so know I am open to any crazy character concepts you might have. Especially with this new world. I really want to allow the players to raise their creative flag and let it fly.
What to expect.
Payment for games is as follows: I am running a deal right now that the first 3 months of play only cost $80 per month. After the 3 months period when you for sure know this is a good fit for you the price will be returned to its normal amount of $100 a month. We only play 4 times a month allowing me to take a break on any month that has a 5th day of the week that we play on.
I know $80 a month can sound steep to play D&D but that is $20 a session for the four sessions we play together. I put a lot of time and energy into making these games enjoyable for you and tailored to each group. This is my full time job so I can focus on my games and only my games. I also have reviews of the players I currently have in my games to help attest to the fact that this game will indeed be worth the price tag.
I have one group that has been playing almost 3 years now, they are level 17 with homebrew boons, and they are about to finish their game. We still have four of the original players and are about to reach the end of our story. The one thing all games want is to make it to a satisfying end, with my games we are able to do that with consistency. People that pay into the games are more likely to put quality time into them and make sure they are there. So we miss far fewer sessions and are able to make it into the long term. I have two games in the tier four of play and several in tier three.
All races and classes in official Wizards of the Coast published book are free game to use. I am even open to allowing UA/Homebrew as long as it has been submitted and approved by me before session 1 begins. We will be using roll20 for maps and combats, discord for voice chat, and D&Dbeyond for character sheet upkeep and rolling. There is an extension (beyond20) that allows you to roll on D&DBeyond and it port it over to roll20 and I have found it to be super effective. So that will be used as well.
We will work together to build backstories that tie into the world. This allows for more immersion into the story. We will discuss what type of game we are all wanting to play, where and how we wish to start, and if any of our characters have connected backstories. With this completed we can go into the first session with a running jump.
The first actual session and getting you set up into the game is free.
Parting words
I understand that paying money to play this game can sometimes be off putting. But when you consider the man hours I put into creating an immersive campaign story for you to play, D&Dbeyond content, as well as other purchases I make to run a great campaign, it is almost nothing to pay for the numerous hours of enjoyment that you will receive in return. It not only assures my level of commitment but the other players as well. If you are concerned at all about my quality as a Dungeon Master I have 23 players currently paying for my games, and dozens more, that I have played with in the past, who would vouch for my ability.
I do require my players to be 18+, this allows for more mature topics to be discussed, but other than that all are welcome to apply. I can work with any skill level from the just watched CritRole (or other D&D media) and want to play to the old timers playing since before I was born. Something I have to add is, be open to constructive criticism, old players and new alike, we are playing a collaborative storytelling game together. If someone has an issue with something that happened we should be able to settle it as adults. If that is not something you think you can do I ask that you please find another game. If you can, then I will welcome you with open arms to our (virtual) table.
I also have a contract of basic understanding to review and sign for players who decide this is the right fit for them. Which of course isn't signed until after their first session and they decide to stay with me.

If you have made it this far in the post I commend you. I hope to see you at the table playing alongside me in this amazing new adventure. Bonus points if you can name the nine villains who rule the lands.

This game is one of grandiose storytelling. The characters are learning about the stories around them. They seek the heroes of the heroes to help them fight a deity brought into this world from another plane. Having just set up Cinderella on the throne of the Land of Our Lady and preform tasks for King Claudius and The Evil Queen, the party is moving onto the world stage and becoming more and more powerful.
This game is a brand new game! They just got to level 5 and are starting their adventure out. Their ship was destroyed in a storm and they washed up on the rocks. After some up starting adventures they made their way off the dangerous island into the clutches of a temple dedicated to some blasphemous deity. A few questionable actions later they have made it back to the capital of Argo Bay and are beginning their search for what is lurking just beneath the waters of their "peaceful" pirate home.
I am opening two new games somewhere within the following time slots! They will begin at either level 1 or level 3 based on group consensus. I have several worlds and stories prepared and will discuss with a group as it forms to which they want to play in. The days and times are as follows:
I have two homebrew worlds up and ready. One is The Forsaken Province as described in the main post. The other is Statera, my main world that I have been developing for many years. It is a world ruled by balance and cycles. I can also run in any established setting world, Ravnica, Faerun, Dominaria, and the such. I typically run homebrew campaigns but am open to running specific modules as the group is inclined.
These games would start once we have enough people to play. We will have a session zero to go over safety tools, expectations, and answer any questions. Then we will start down the path of an amazing game!
Thursday: 3pm CST - 7pm CST
Is slated to be a political intrigue game. Working your way through the country of the Rogue Vale within the FeyWild to uncover the corruption of the country and help sort it out. It would be a high magic, high Roleplay campaign, starting at level 3.
