Game: D&D 5e. Group type: In Person. Experience: All experience levels are welcome. Location/Timezone: Hosted in home by DM or Player. Eastern Time (EST). Schedule: 2-4 times per month(weekly preferred), 3-4 hour games. Roles sought: Respectful and friendly role-players, accents and voices encouraged. Campaign: Lost Mine of Phandelver & Dragon of Icespire Peak. (Level 1-10+)
Recruitment: Looking for 4-6 players. Player Classes/Races: D&D 5e, all official WotC content allowed. (evil races by DM approval) Style: Beginner module campaign, followed by custom made player inspired campaign. Custom monsters, custom maps, milestone leveling, skill challenges and optional homebrew rules. Player Character Style: No evil or hidden characters. Backgrounds should be compatible with the sword coast lore. Player backgrounds will be worked into content, not just for flavor. Age requirement: 16-40 (exceptions can be made)
This is a fresh campaign that is a based off a fusion of the starter D&D modules “Lost mine of Phandelver” and “Dragon of Icespire peak”. Where players will explore a sandbox style adventure in which they are able to pick from a range of different starting points that will be chosen by a group meeting (session zero). While I attempt to stay strict to the rules of D&D 5e, there are a few creative liberties I may take if the story demands it (rule of cool).
I will attempt to create a balanced game which rides the line between combat and roleplay, I am an amateur voice actor and passionate role-player/DM. While player roleplay isn’t required it is heavily encouraged, if you are looking for a murder hobo kill stuff take loot style game this may not be the game for you. This is a mature style of game, however there will be no sexual content or gratuitous violence, while these concepts exist in the game world, they will not be given any direct attention.
Player characters CAN die, this is not my goal but the world is made to feel real and jumping into lava is going to kill you. Player vs Player (attacking, stealing, threatening) content is unadvised as it leads to poor group play but the occasional duel or argument is fine. Expect fun roleplay, engaging combat, environmental challenges, secrets to discover, political plots to uncover, treasure to acquire, and so much more.
