About me as a DM: I was first introduced to DnD back in roughly 2018 with Critical Role, and didn't start played till late 2019 (DMing a bit shortly after). I am a 37 year old, Genderfluid/Non-binary person who uses they/them pronouns. I am Autistic with ADHD and may fall back (to start) on to RAW (Rules as Written) to start with in the event of any "out there" ideas as the story progresses. However, I do absolutely LOVE when people get creative in their roleplaying and story telling and Rule of Cool is absolutely something I believe in and utilize.
System: Dnd 5E (primarily 2024 ruleset, but open to utilizing 2014 subclasses/species etc if needed) Age: 18+ Session Times: Bi-Weekly on Saturday or Sunday's (basically it will be the opposite weekends that I play on Sundays ie: Nov 2/3, Nov 16/17 etc); Exact Session time: Sundays - so far looking at Session 0 on Nov 17 (morning MT ish) Session Length: Roughly 3-4 Hours Voice Chat: Discord (webcam optional) Maps: Most Likely Above VTT (chrome extension, that integrates with DDB), but possibly Foundry Type of Game: I like to run games that are (roughly) 60% Roleplay, 25% Dynamic Combat, 5% Puzzles Themes: Often some political intrigue, fate/destiny, a bit darker fantasy, possible plane hopping, tied in backstories Safety Tools: We will employ standard "Traffic light" style safety tools (red X for stop etc) as well as I will have a fairly comprehensive Lines and Veils sheet for players to fill out. We will also have a Session 0 to go over safety tools, and other elements of the campaign. Basic Rules: There will be specific Server rules in the discord server we will play in, however in general all I ask is that people Respect each other (pronouns, beliefs etc).
Character Creation: Species: Anything Official EXCEPT Yuan'ti (Truly sorry I just can't make them make sense in my world) Classes/Subclasses: Anything Official (just ask/provide a breakdown for Homebrew for acceptance or rejection) Level: 5 Rolled Stats: (4d6 keep 3 highest) - (total stat numbers need to add up to minimum 70) + you can roll 3 extra Stat rolls (so 3 extra 4d6 rolls) and you can choose to substitute them in or not. Extras: I am going to allow ONE extra level 1 feat (unrelated to origin feats) BUT it must make sense for your background not just mechanically Backstory: I absolutely LOVE to integrate character backstories not only into the story but the world as a whole. The more integrated you create a character the better in my opinion. (and I am always willing to answer questions related to helping you create a backstory for the world.
World/Story: World Lore: The world is called Atemnity. Atemnity was born by the will of those who would be gods. It began with two mortals on Earth who became gods known as Chaos and Harmony; they each have their own values, beliefs and tenants. After a 1000 or so year long war a new god was born from the conflict called Equipoise, A god of true Balance and Neutrality.
Story Beginning: This story will begin in a world simmering with potential conflict that could throw the world into war and more importantly out of balance. We will start this story at the graduation of the 6th (and final) year students of the prestigious Hawthorne Institute of Legends in Relarian. Players will be playing either 6th year students from any of the various school tracks (Hero, Villain, Guardian, Royalty) OR a character with a narrative reason to be either at the school or nearby the school at this time. If players would like to tying your backstories in with one another is encouraged.
Hi me and a friend of mine are looking to join a campaign so this post is from me and him both.
Age 23/45
Time zone CET
Pronouns He/Him both
Discord Handle Bawlin and Ollyhunter09
A couple possible character concepts you might like to play. We have made a unlce and a nephew. me playing the uncle who is a hunter that lives in a small village (ranger class). and him being a (druid) living with me because his parrents where killed. I like the idea of him attending the school and i happen to live close by, maybe even being a gronds keeper for the school.
A little, generic blurb about yourself as a role player/TTRPG player I like to feel conected to a world and i can really immerse myself into a story. my friend really likes to explore different setting's and is very foccused in having a good bond in the party.
Rough experience level (does not matter just so I know what experience levels I am working with) we have both played in two short campaigns where we tried to have a good bond in the party but people where more intressted in being murder hobo's. that kinda drained the fun out of the game for us.
A couple possible character concepts you might like to play - Im literally down for anything rogue, sorcerer, Druid, ranger, fighter. I currently have a Eladrin Ranger - Gloom Stalker/Fighter - Arcane Archer on reserve, among others
A little, generic blurb about yourself as a role player/TTRPG player - I’ve been playing general RP games for over 20 years and have been playing dnd with a consistent group for over two years
Rough experience level (does not matter just so I know what experience levels I am working with) - moderate experience. Very well veraed in my characters (usually), but not a rules lawyer by any means.
A couple possible character concepts you might like to play:
This is a concept I had for a while now, but I'm not sure if it would fit to this campaign - the crown prince of some kingdom, who is trans, so she runs away and becomes a warlock (I'm feeling the archfey, but might also go for the fiend), using her Mask of Many Faces to pass. I think it's a nice twist on the princess in disguise trope.
A pure-of-heart, dumb-of-ass, disaster lesbian paladin, certain she alone can solve can solve the world problems with the power of positive thinking (and also smites).
A monk who is a cult survivor. Not the robe-wearing trying to summon some eldritch horror type, but an actual real-world type, with the charismatic leader, isolation from support network, and hursh punishment for any transgression.
A little, generic blurb about yourself as a role player/TTRPG player: I listen to a lot of actual play, of dnd and other systems. I like heavy exploration of character dynamic and inner thoughts
Rough experience level: I've been engaged with ttrpg for probably 20 years now, but didn't got to play all that much. The longest campaign I've been in lasted three or four months of weekly sessions.
A couple possible character concepts you might like to play: Have not played with the new 2024 rules, but am more than willing to try anything since they all seem like so much fun. But Monk is probably what I would like to try out.
A little, generic blurb about yourself as a role player/TTRPG player: Kind of a sarcastic player with a love for this game. I take notes and like to engage with the world i'm playing in and I will play any type of character so that all have a great time.
Rough experience level (does not matter just so I know what experience levels I am working with): Been playing for 5 years, 1 as a DM. Played from level 1 to 20 without any problems keeping up.
Only question I would have about this is the time of day this game would run and for how long. Other than that, I look forward to hearing back!
Age - 35
Time zone - EST(Toronto)
Pronouns - They/Them
Discord Handle - @Singias
A couple possible character concepts you might like to play - A cleric of the forge (2014) An adopted elf lass looking to restore her Fathers name as a famous blacksmith. Other than that, Maybe a fill in character to round out the team.
A little, generic blurb about yourself as a role player/TTRPG player - I love character interactions and working together with others to form a narrative that can be silly, serious, heart warming or sad.
Rough experience level - I play in two games and run 3 others. I am looking to join more and have some fun.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
May our roads be lined with adventure, love, and laughter!
Awesome, I'll just put forward that I can run up anytime up until 5pm on either day typically. Hopefully that works with the rest of the group should I be chosen. If not no hard feelings and thanks for the consideration ^_^
