Please read my entire post Game: D&D 5e Group type: Online, Discord, Roll20 Location/Timezone: Eastern Standard Time(EST) Game style: Probably will be more combat heavy, but RP and exploration are important, reasoning can be found in the description area. Campaign Name: The Spire of Secrets Time/Frequency: Every Tuesday night from about 7pm-10pmish Eastern Standard Time(EST) or later depending on how peeps are feeling. Please reach out only if you will be able to be pretty consistent. Further info is below, see note at the bottom. I'd prefer if you were 18+, some themes aren't appropriate, and my descriptions can get gnarly.
Genre/Setting: Medieval Fantasy. World is mainly basic, very basic firearms that are more magic than tech. Current needs: I'm looking for a solid 4-5 players with some decent experience. Be creative and silly, I am not planning for this game to have much of a serious tone, some moments yes, but for the most part I want to promote a campaign where we come together to do some shenanigans.
Short description of the setting/campaign: This is a homebrew world to preface, set in my world of Eternia. A large tower, rising to the heavens, has appeared in the northern part of Eternia's borders. As word spread of the new mysterious structure, it drew in adventurers, with them hoping to find treasure, gold, and possibly even fame. It was discovered that the tower was controlled by an immensely powerful magic caster, and each level within the structure seemed to go on forever. The highest layer traveled to is the 7th, with an unknown amount of further ones. Each layer filled with stronger and more terrifying creatures. Your goals are to reach the top, and defeat the evil magic user, claiming fame and fortune. Most of the campaign itself will be self-contained within the structure, there won't be many, if any, chances to leave the structure. If you're crafty, you shouldn't need to leave. Of course death is an option, yes, but that's not preferable.
Info about me: Yo! My name is Moon, and I've been DMing for about 2.5 years now, and been a player for about 3(now forever DM). I started up my own campaign that was just for fun and where I learned the most about DMing. I started up Echoes Of The Ancients about a year ago, and Dawn of The End a few weeks ago. I got the itch to play more, and I love DMing, so I decided to setup a more "basic" campaign. I'm very laid back with my DM style, I try not to make too much of a fuss about things. Rule of cool is very important to me, I want to bring out people's creativity. As much as I know DnD, I still mess up on occasion with some rulings, so I try to do my best to be fair, as sometimes things are dumb in RAW. I love working with the player to craft their future, bringing the character to life is something I really enjoy as I have personally had not so good character development experiences. I like to think I'm generous with my items, and like to reward players for the ingenuity and solutions.
I do have most of my homebrew rules in my Discord server, so while I encourage you asking, most questions should be answered there.
I want to make a note. I have 2 stipulations about playing. Number 1: We are all adults, and stuff happens all the time, I do get it, but I want to be clear I'm hoping to have you play more often than not. Things pop up last minute, and I understand, but I'm gonna be perfectly clear, ***I want you to show up every week.*** I have had issues with my parties slowly falling apart because people weren't as available as they said they were. I don't mind if you're a bit late, as long as you show up. As I said things come up, but if you can foresee there being changes, please let me know. I do a lot of balancing/RP stuff based on who is in game, and if you're sporadic, it throws everything off.
Number 2: While I of course don't want to exclude anyone, if you are in the EU/Asia, if you want to apply, please, please be willing, or just able to stay up that late. I have encountered multiple players(they've been amazing, no hate) that consistently don't make it after a couple sessions, and end up dropping out. I understand the time difference is rough, I do, but please understand. If you feel this would be an issue, I ask you not to apply.
Post here, or DM me with some background info about you, your experience with DnD, your playstyle, what you want from me in terms of gameplay, any questions, and any other information you think might be important. If you don't do so I will ignore your messages, I don't mean to sound rude, but I have had users message me and completely ignore the details, which they then ask about. Thank you for understanding.
