I’m currently seeking a 4th player to join my table for an ongoing D&D campaign (heavily homebrewed). Our 4th player had to stop playing due to IRL life changes that took away their free time, and so this post’s objective is to fill their now vacant spot. Anyone above 18 years of age can apply to join.
I currently have a group of three players who all share a love for immersive storytelling, exploration, drama and immersion.
The players are currently level 6, so your character would need to be created at level 6. The campaign is divided into 4 Acts, and we are about to start Act 2. As such, though you are joining an ongoing campaign, it will still feel quite fresh to you!
Session Details
We play on Saturdays at 1 PM London time (UTC+0/GMT+0), and sessions last between 7 to 8 hours. We use Foundry for gameplay and Discord for voice chat. Additionally, LegendKeeper (see below) is used to automatically provide the players with notes and other helpful content which they can use between sessions to check any information they might need.
How to join
The campaign starts again on the 28th of June, with a session 0 with a selected player taking place a week before, on the 21st of June.
Playing at our table is FREE. However, sessions are long and we take our campaign commitment very seriously. Please make sure you are able and willing to commit most of your Saturdays for months before deciding to join.
In order to join, please respond to the questionnaire linked below!
I will be contacting a small number of respondents in the next few days from those that submitted the questionnaire, after which I will have an interview in voice chat before ultimately selecting a player. The interviewee is allowed to meet the other players if they wish, to also help the interviewed player to check if they like the general vibe of the players at the table.
About the Campaign Itself
Setting
This specific campaign’s name is Vengeance & Wine, which takes place in the tropical lands of Verdantine. It is a rich, feudal land ruled by Dragonborn and Human noble elites who live lavish lives of opulence and decadence at the cost of the toil of wood-elf serfs. The players have to navigate dangerous court intrigue and subterfuge as dangerous as any battle, and travel a land of fairy-tale beauty hiding a rotten underbelly of injustice and oppression.
While many themes are included, the most prevalent are politics, intrigue and mystery. The current act takes place in the large city of Plúmescarlet, with the story taking place in an urban setting. Later Acts change the biome and setting.
Heavily Homebrewed
Our compendium, while having its foundation on the 5e 2014 rules, is heavily homebrewed and is almost like its own little system.
Over several campaigns, I’ve heavily homebrewed the rules, reworked classes, and created new systems that have consistently enhanced our gameplay and allowed us to tackle or detail how to deal with situations the rules struggle to deal with (it’s almost like our own little system). Because of this, a basic understanding of D&D rules is required, and I’ll guide you through the changes slowly before and during gameplay.
I have a public LegendKeeper project where I’m slowly migrating all of my content related to both the world of Gaias and my compendium (see homebrew disclaimer below). Here is the link:
