SALTMARSH AND THE SEA

Saltmarsh clings precariously to the coast of southern Keoland, a place where the king’s authority fades like mist over the sea. By day, hardworking fisherfolk mend nets and haul in their catch. By night, smugglers whisper in tavern corners, pirates prowl the waters, and mercenaries sharpen their blades. Tales of haunted ghost ships, perilous sea monsters, and mysteriously vanished crews linger in every shadowed alley.

Now, the tides are shifting. Encounter enigmatic figures whose motives are never quite clear. Old families resist the change, while the Scarlet Brotherhood works in secret to spread fear, discord, and death, hoping to seize Saltmarsh for their own.

Into this crucible of ambition and danger come you and your companions with salt in your veins and choices to make. Navigate battles where every choice shapes the story, and immerse yourself in roleplay that blurs truth and deception. Decipher puzzles older than memory, buried in shadowed forests and mist-choked marshes, where each answer only deepens the mystery.

Will you take up arms against ruthless raiders? Dare the waves to uncover wrecks and ruins steeped in ancient curses? Or plunge into the dark beneath sea and stone, where secrets slumber and horrors wait to rise again?

Game style:

• Players can expect a good balance of fun, memorable roleplaying mixed with challenging combat, memorable NPCs, vibrant locations and an engaging story. Focused on meeting each player’s play style preference.
• This is a beginner-friendly level 1-10+ campaign. Expected session count 25-30.
• I use Discord for group chat during sessions and Roll20 for virtual tabletop. Players will have access to my content on D&D Beyond for character creation, which is recommended, but not required.
• Sessions will have a 10-15 minute bio break, usually midway through.
• Progression is milestone based
• Fun RP, creative solutions and outside the box thinking will be rewarded with heroic inspiration. Also, player reward system through Discord “stars” that can be used for items and boosting up your character.
• New characters will have a chance to roll d100s for special items pre-campaign.

DM Style: I am a professional actor and avid player of games of many varieties. Been playing RPGs for many years and DMing for 2 years. My campaigns are story driven with a strong focus on character development, but with challenging encounters still. Table is a safe-space with no toleration of judgement or bullying. Everyone is welcome.
